I came here a week ago and am disappointed to say that my experience was less-than-stellar and in many ways just bad. I came here because it had good ratings for gluten-free food (I have celiac.) They had a gluten-free menu from which I ordered a bowl of soup and made sure it was put in as a gluten allergy so it would be taken seriously. After waiting for almost 30 minutes for a single bowl of soup (I was ordering to-go!) they brought out a box with the bowl of soup in it right next to two biscuits, which I was then told by the manager were not gluten-free. He then told me that it hadn't been put in as a gluten allergy at all, calling into question the safety of the soup itself. After 30 minutes of wasted time, they comped the check and I left, more hungry and much less satisfied than when I entered.
Great casual lunch spot for soup and a sandwich. Gluten free options available for soup, sandwiches and salads. Personal faves are the Ham & Brie and the Reuben, as well as the tomato basil soup. Service is quick and friendly!
Came here for the gluten free options. I was surprised to find them all frozen. The gf cookie was good but the gf scone was so salty I had to toss it. And it turned to glue in your mouth.
First time to Petoskey for my husband and I . I’m glad we chose Palette Bistro for dinner. I got the palette salad and gluten free flat bread. Both very good! Our server was great too!
I love there is variety of food choices in the spot, particularly gluten-free options for my family members who need it. I have enjoyed a little bits from almost all of the food trucks and have not been disappointed by any of them. It often gets overcrowded and it's not incredibly accessible for folks with mobility hindrances but all in all I think it's a great option to have in this town.
Went here because my friend was looking for gluten free food options in the area. Mim's advertised that they had GF items on their menu. Arriving at the restaurant, pretty busy for Saturday afternoon, the menu said they could substitute spinach and/or rice instead of wraps as the GF option. The Owner/manager also spoke with us so we knew it was not GF kitchen (just in case of celiac issues). Appreciated him taking the time to inform us. She got chicken pesto over rice/spinach and I got chicken w tsaziki over spinach (little heavy on the Tsaziki) but good size portion and very tasty. Also tried a slice of vegan GF chocolate cake which was delicious. Sat on the deck. A lovely afternoon.
Price wise I would rate as $$$, $18. for a gluten free hamburger with potatoe chips. The hamburger patty was very tasty just very small for that price, $100. for 4 burgers and 4 drinks.
The waitress was very helpful and outgoing. Fast service.
Thai Orchid has good food with several gluten free options (which are labeled on the menu). The drinks were good as well. The servers were quick and attentive. The decor was minimal and the front window isn't decorated in such a way that the location of the restaurant is obvious when you pass by. Overall, we enjoyed this restaurant and would recommend it to others.
Disinterested employees. Lack of cleanliness. I definitely would caution anyone who needs to be gluten free to avoid all food due to cross contamination. The owners used to have a presence in this business and conditions were far better. Sorry, cannot recommend.
The only bad thing I can think to say is that we only stayed one night. From the moment we walked in the door it was a great experience. We were greeted warmly and after dropping our bags off in our room, we grabbed a drink and sat by the fire. The town of Petoskey is fun to explore with a lot of great restaurants to try. We would have dined in at the Inn but there was a private event that night (if we had stayed a another night, we would have eaten there). Breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options for people with different food allergies ( I can't eat a lot of gluten or pork). The history and beauty of the Inn just adds to the charm - if you have a chance to stay here, you won't regret it.
Superb! Chandler's in Petoskey, MI offers one of the finest dining experiences in the area. We enjoyed our dinner in the wine cellar so much that we went back to the restaurant the next day for lunch! The entree's were extraordinary and the wine, so much choose from. Unbelievable! The farm to table selections were so delicious. The servers and restaurant staff at Chandler's were friendly, offering vast food and wine knowledge and were very accommodating for entree changes due to ingredient sensitivities for gluten free. We enjoyed every minute of our dining experience at Chandler's.
I am gluten free and there were several options. I didn’t ask if they had gluten free bread so I’m not sure. I had the baked oatmeal. Delicious! And the service was great. Will definitely return.

Amazing, cozy little spot, run by the sweetest people, filled with happy plants, and serving up THE most delectable drinks, desserts and bowls you will find in the area! I can't get enough of The Grove! As an individual with Celiac, I am over the moon to be able to come here for gluten-free goodies, too!

Never had a disappointing meal from here. Awesome unique food, friendly staff, and inclusive menu items for gluten free and vegan! Not to mention the decor itself is pretty cool!
Date night last night, we were headed to the Thai place across the street but when we arrived they said they were closing early, turned off their open sign and said we could order to go and eat in our car. We opted to walk across the street and check out Pour Kitchen & Bar instead. We are SO GLAD we did! We were greeted immediately by a super kind host who told us “pick the table you want, but a word of caution, the windows can be drafty.” We opted to sit at a table with soft chairs and warm ambience along the long wall of tables. Our server, Madi, was super helpful especially considering my date was vegetarian and is gluten free. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, and a vegetarian sushi roll as appetizers, then I ordered the poke bowl over rice and she ordered the cauliflower steak. Literally, as she was about to take her first bite of the Brussels sprouts, the host reappeared at our table and said “Wait! Don’t eat that!” He had remembered she was vegetarian and wanted to know the sprouts were cooked in duck fat. That was so sweet of him to remember and to make that extra effort for us. I ate the Brussels sprouts and they were delicious! Our food arrived and the serving sizes were larger than either of us had expected and everything was perfect. Madi was super helpful and attentive. We had some friends in the area and they stopped by as we were finishing up and we all had another round of drinks. The dinner, the atmosphere, the staff all were exactly perfect. Thank you SO MUCH Pour Kitchen & Bar for the wonderful evening. Also, if you get a chance, order that gin and pear drink… it is on point!
Good gluten free crust, overall pizza, very good. Person on phone was kinda rudPersonouple tables inside but not a place you want to eat at so carry out or delivery
This is by far the best pizza I have ever had ❤️ I ordered the mahalo and the five cheese pizza on gluten-free crust, and it was amazing! The workers are extremely nice. Best service at the backlot I've had!
Food was just "ok" and was not worth the wait. Gluten free options were few and lacking. Service was minimal at best. We were a group of 3 families but the server would not let us have separate checks. Seating was uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place.
I got the veggie wrap and my fiancé got a veggie sandwich on gluten free bread (gluten allergy). They were very understanding about and accommodating to her allergy. The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly! Would definitely recommend!
Best in the business. Lauren was super helpful with my large order, offering to fire up the oven to make additional gluten free cookies (which I’m told are amazing). Thx guys, offices love them.
Super cute and friendly restaurant. Food arrived quickly and hot. Pizza was gluten free, which is rare in rural towns in Michigan. Fresh veggies were used, tasty crust. Enough to take home and eat the next day.
Friendly waitress was very attentive. We were grateful to find a restaurant that could cater to all of our needs.
Overall great experience.
