This place is amazing!! Fresh tacos, salad, soup. The service is great and it’s a chill environment! Great for gluten free options. Whole menu is GF except flour tortillas! Get the cake!!!
This place is well named, they are pretty strange. No donuts are actually made at this tiny location. It is only a retail sales spot — but the donuts are fresh made daily and delicious. They have gluten free donuts that typically sell out so I recommend that you check in early and for sure call ahead to make sure they still have what you're looking for. They are always friendly and I enjoy getting donuts from them. Keep it weird, Strange Donuts! 🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩
We had the trashed wings, which were really tasty and are a St. Louis specialty. I was also pleased to see that they offer gluten-free pasta. The service was good, so was their atmosphere.
Healthy and fresh meal at a very fair price point. Easy to eat gluten free and accommodate any allergens/preferences. Everything was well balanced and tasty!
I’ll be back for sure. 💗
The food was great, and they worked with my wife's gluten-free diet. The risotto was fantastic - my wife said it is the best she has had since Italy. I really like the artichokes and had a fantastic chicken and risotto dish.
I love Crushed Red and will definitely continue to go! I will say that if people have issues with dairy or gluten, at this specific location I might not risk it, or at least carefully double check what you’re given. I ordered a gluten free folded flatbread and a salad that originally is not supposed to come with any dairy products. When the food came out, I double checked with the server whether the flatbread was gluten free, which is just my habit, I found out that gluten free was not on the kitchen’s ticket. No harm no foul, because they remade it with a gluten free flatbread for free. But I got halfway through my salad and realized there was cheese in the bottom half. I realized after leaving and looking back at the menu that they had just made a completely different salad lol! I had asked for the health nut, and they gave me a Cyprus. It was a perfect Cyprus, and it was good, but it definitely was not dairy free, even after taking out the biggest feta chunks, so I will be spending some more quality time with it later lol. I’ll probably still come back to this Crushed Red if I’m in the area, but I’ll be more careful about making sure I got what I ordered.
I love the Kirkwood location and the staff, they are always amazing.
I ordered a delivery using DD but unfortunately from a different location (my fault!) but thought is was Kirkwood. I needed to ensure my food is gluten free so I called to double check. They were going to keep an eye out for my ticket to make sure I was safe. When they didn't receive the ticket, they actually took the time to call me back to let me know. That is some seriously good customer service
I wish I could remember the name of the female I talked to because she should definitely get kudos by name! Seriously, wow, what a fantastic experience the staff provided.
Was a favorite before, but this just solidified my love for the Kirkwood location and their staff.
I had high expectations going into this place because of all the positive reviews. It did not measure up. They must've been busy because of a lot of phone in orders. There were not very many people there but they were preparing a lot of orders. We waited in a short line for 20 minutes. When they finally took our order, it was prepared on a very messy line and in what appeared to be a haphazard way. Even though we told them we needed gluten-free precautions taken, they acted unaware of what that meant and made no efforts to accommodate that: no line clean-up, no glove changes, no anything. As I watched them preparing multiple orders, the portions appeared to be very inconsistent. The employees looked overworked and frustrated, which made them come across unfriendly. The only redeeming grace was that the food was pretty good. The pico de gallo was the best thing in the bowl I ordered. I wouldn't say I was ruined for Chipotle, but I won't hurry back.
One of the best restaurants in STL, hands down. The food is delicious, the wine is great, and the servers are extremely friendly. Gets a little loud, so if you want a quiet meal, ask to eat on the sidewalk or in one of the front windows.
Also great if you have celiacs. I can eat several of their offerings, and they are great about replacements.
We had dinner here before seeing a show in Kirkwood. This was our first time eating here and loved it! I have to eat gluten free so had the salmon and it was delicious!! My fiancé had the pasta with clams and said it was really good too. I would recommend eating here whenever you're looking for a nice place for dinner!
We are repeat customers and can always find it tough to choose when faced with making decisions on their ever-changing selection. My partner doesn't do dairy or gluten well so the product is awesome for her. Outside space during the fair weather months too.
You are truly missing out if you don’t make plans to breakfast here. It’s super clean and inviting, it has a lot of space for large parties, and it’s clean and the people are very very sweet.
They have a full on restaurant menu with a lot of variety, and the service and food were outstanding. I cannot believe that it was so slow. It seems like nobody knows this place exists.
The portion of coffee that you receive is phenomenal and they even have oat milk. They do not offer gluten-free bread except a bun and they do not have dairy free or gluten-free desserts except for one, so we did not get to enjoy the ice cream or the bakery, but cannot be happier and will be definitely coming back!
Also it would be a 5 star no question if the putting on the hash below contained meat. I believe there was an ounce of brisket. Gluten-free and dairy free are also very much in demand these days so they could definitely make desserts and ice cream that would corner the market because the excellence in their bakery can’t be beat for years and years. I don’t want anyone reading this to see that I am complaining I am absolutely not complaining they’re probably was a small flaw in whoever was cooking the flavor of the brisket combined with the caramelized, onions, horseradish, and potatoes were amazing.
Such a great addition to Kirkwood! Staff was friendly, food was great, and the artwork was cool!
We got the nachos, kale salad, mozzarella sticks and burnt ends as shareables for our table. We all loved everything! They also have a dedicated gluten free frier!
I went to Jersey Mike's on 12/09/2023. The crew that was working that afternoon was rocking it. The store was very busy. They did have a couple crabby customers and customers was a little crabby about gluten free and worker stayed patient with this customer. I want to get her two thumbs up. That group works well together as team to get the rush down. Will be back to Jersey Mike's.
First time visitor, and I must say it exceeded expectations. Almost everything boiled was gluten free and ohh so good. I ordered my dinner portion for lunch and it was a ton of food. My wife got snow crab legs. Not disappointed at all. Will be back. Unfortunately we live 4 hours away and won’t be regulars.
Lucas was amazing!!! Super sweet and took the time to make sure I was taken care of with my gluten issues!!! I will be back- possibly tomorrow. Oh and the burger was amazing!!!!
