Simply—and irresistibly—delicious. I had the Full Therapy: a half bowl of three different dishes (Pasta Bolognese, Chili Sin Carne, and Mediterranean Pasta), and each one was incredible. Light, flavorful, and thoughtfully composed—every ingredient had its moment to shine.
I also tried their refreshing lemonade and black tea, along with two desserts: the omega-3 chocolate raw brownie and the raspberry raw cake. Both were sweet, filling, and richly flavored—hard to pick a favorite.
The ambiance is lovely. While the service wasn’t flawless, the staff clearly does their best to ride the wave of occasionally difficult Upper East Side customers with grace. If someone behind the counter seems a little short, it might just be residue from the last entitled interaction—so I give them full forgiveness.
I ended up spending over three hours here enjoying the atmosphere and the menu. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking clean, organic, gluten-free vegan food in New York.
As a gluten free girlie, this is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in the city. I get the pad thai and it's consistently delicious. Also, the staff is always attentive but today Kade helped me and she was absolutely lovely. Kind smile, super sweet, and on point with everything! Loved it.
This place has been around the upper east side for a very long time and it never disappoints! It's definitely pricier than other Chinese places in the area but they serve higher quality food that is less greasy, less sweet, and less salty. They also serve dim sum all day. With all that being said, some of their dishes are still catered to the western palate but it is still better than other places in the area.
Here are some of my favorite items from them
Fried egg rolls. Their egg rolls are legit. It's giant, filling and crispy.
Hot and sour soup. Very good and filling. Perfect for colder days.
Walnut prawns. Very big prawns that are flavored in this nice sweet and savory white sauce with fried walnuts.
Sautéed pea shoot. Very good while getting your fibers in.
Shrimp with black bean sauce and mined pork. Very good and flavorful.
Turnip cakes. Delicious and crispy.
Chives and shrimp patty. Lots of flavor.
They also have lots of gluten free options here. Service is always top notch. Overall a solid spot on the UES
Great place for an all day breakfast and more. The vibes are super old school Newyorker style. Good coffee! And GLUTEN FREE options. I definitely recommend it.
I abide by a mostly vegan/gluten free/refined sugar free lifestyle, and I am delighted to have goodsugar near my office for breakfast and mid-day snacks. So far I’ve indulged (guilt free, of course) in the following amazing items: coffee parfait, berry beauty parfait, matcha parfait, overnight oats (oatmeal), and the pecan bar. I love the parfaits, thought everything has been solid—with ingredients I can *trust*. And, I love the fun little sticker “fortunes” on the glass jars. A beautiful concept inside and out! Can’t wait to try the buffalo cauliflower soon.
I absolutely love this place.
They have the best coffee on the UES.
The PDQs are amazing. I get them fresh and also their frozen cook-at-home bags…my kids love them so they are a real life saver when out of breakfast ideas!
I would also recommend the chocolate chip banana bread muffins and loaves. I am not gluten free - I eat these because they are delicious! I had been eating them for years before I even noticed the “GF” label on the bag. Now I get them for all my friends who ARE gluten free.
The molasses cookies and strawberry muffins and apple cakes - when in season - are amazing as well.
I order take out from here all the time but recently went in person. They have the best homemade marinara sauce I've ever had. My friend who dined with me can't have gluten. She ate her entire bowl of gluten free pasta, which was massive. I will order from here again and again. They have a few tables out front if you want to take in the elements.
Very nice place, kind and polite waiters but above all Italian food!!
Very good and quality dishes, one thing I really appreciate is that there are gluten-free options including pasta, rare to find in New York.
The owner is Italian and the prices are fair for the quality of the food and Italian pasta.
Highly recommended
You can definitely taste the difference with the avocado oil crust, it's amazing. The tomato sauce is delicious as well.
My gluten free and dairy free sisters loved their pizzas as well.
Gela and the rest of the staff at Oda House gave us an experience to remember. There was a great atmosphere, fantastic service, and delicious food. It is perfect for someone who is gluten-free too. We had Georgian wine, the appetizer sampler, entrées, Maya’s cake, and tea. I would recommend Oda House for anyone looking for a great night out and a new cultural experience.
I absolutely love going to Mediterraneo! My go-to order is the gluten-free margherita pizza (the crust is extra crispy) and a fresh salad — the perfect combo. The vongole is also amazing!!! This family-owned gem is a true neighborhood treasure. Melania is the warmest, most welcoming presence, she gives the best hugs. It truly feels like walking into your favorite aunt’s home for dinner. Places like this are what give the Upper East Side its charm and sense of community. Can’t wait to return!
Unsure which was better: the tapas or the service! Our server asked us about allergies and was extremely accommodating by letting us know exactly which tapas contained gluten and separating one piece when possible etc. The sangria was quite nice despite not typically enjoying sangria as it was not overly sweetened. Would definitely recommend for a date or a group!
The experience was excellent! The food was delicious, although the majority of it was fried. They had a great selection of gluten-free options. The service was incredibly friendly. The ambiance had a dim lighting that wasn't too dark, and the music volume was just right for conversation.
Really bummed out with the menu, most stuff says it's gluten free. IT IS NOT GLUTEN FREE. The manager walked off very dismissively when we asked if things were gluten free. We asked the manager that they should update the menu but all she said was that the air fryers are not gluten free. The place has a very high risk of cross contamination and bad food can ruin good trips. Would give 0 if it was an option.
This place is actually amazing. I have only ever placed very large orders (between $200-$400 worth of food) for work parties and the food quality has been consistently great, the food is always ready for pickup on time and the staff is very friendly. You cannot go wrong with choosing this place for lunch or catering. They also cater to both dietary restrictions we have in our workplace - dairy-free and gluten-free. Their vegan cheese is the best on the market because it actually melts and doesn't have a weird texture. They always make sure to give us a separate, still wrapped pizza cutter with the taped up gluten-free pizza as well.
P.S. Do not look over their pasta dishes. We only recently started ordering those and they are a HIT with my coworkers.
Large and very tasty burgers, many options to choose from. One of the best that can be found in New York without a doubt. Sweet potatoes are recommended as a garnish. The authentic and very American retro atmosphere and decoration. There are gluten-free buns for the burgers, although there is no gluten-free fries option. The waiters were very friendly and attended to requests perfectly.
Absolutely delicious! There’s a reason they have great reviews. Ginger Booster meal with house sauce was A+. Very friendly employees who care about the business
Only complaint I have is the gluten free versions of same dish are a lot worse, but still nice to have — and more testament to just how good the real dish is
Delightful and delicious meal at Daniel. We came later after a theatre and did not feel rushed at all. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful, sommelier had excellent recommendations, and the kitchen was charming about accommodating my dairy - gluten avoidance.
3 of us enjoyed the pre-fix menu dinners. We all ate every bite of these delicious and beautifully presented dishes: tuna tartar, mixed greens salad, lobster dumplings, Atlantic Salmon, steak frites, pecan pie with homemade pumpkin ice cream, gluten free lava cake with home made vanilla ice cream, and homemade berry sorbet. Service was very friendly and attentive. I loved the fact that we could converse comfortably because it was not too loud even though it was full of guests doing the same.
Interesting menu. Good food though not quite 5 stars. Worth a try if in the area. Restaurant was willing to accommodate some alterations to order.
We tried the:
Spicy Fried Chicken Bun 5/5
Miso Glazed Eggplant 4/5 - great texture and flavour of the eggplant but I thought the glaze was too sweet and didn’t quite work for me. Generous portion.
Sea Urchin and Salmon Caviar (soupless) with gluten free noodles (4/5) - very tasty and worth a try. I really enjoyed this but wouldn’t order again given the relatively higher price
Kyoto ramen - (4/5). Very good ramen. Though beware if you have a sensitive nose as the broth is chicken and fish based.
Truly delicious food options. The nachos and guacamole was pleasantly spicy. The perfect starter. The chilaquiles was one of the greatest things I’ve eaten this month. So delicious. Great restaurant for two people with celiac. We had many options and enjoyed all the things we ate.
Stumbled across this amazing pizza location via TIKTOK!! And I must say I was amazed by the atmosphere the welcoming service and the vice variety for VEGAN LOVERS AND GLUTEN FREE LOVERS. Freshly made smells and taste amazing 10/10 recommend bring it to YONKERS PLEASE
The staff are friendly and attentive. The food has been consistently high quality and at a great price. The Lunch Menu is hard to beat. They are also very accommodating to gluten-free diners.
My wife and I had dinner at Finestra on a Friday evening. I had the salmon with vegetables and my wife had the shrimp risotto. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were delicious. My wife enjoy d the risotto and we both agreed it was one of the better meals we have had in NYC. Excellent service as the waitress was attentive to my wife’s celiac issues. Highly recommend Finestra.
What a great neighbourhood spot! We sat outside and watched the people pass by and as they were waiting for the bus. It was so entertaining! The owner walked around and made sure everyone was happy, which is such a lovely thing to do as it makes you feel at home in his restaurant. We talked to a father and son duo who were also sitting outside and they said the come here at least twice a week because the food is so good. They recommended the pasta and the pork chops. I had the gluten free seafood pasta and the tomato sauce was the best I had in NYC! The wine by the glass was also really delicious. We will definitely be back!
There aren’t too many places you can get a gluten-free crêpe at! I wanted something savory and protein dense. To my surprise, the menu has a buckwheat crêpe with chicken pesto! Solid choice for anyone who eats intuitively and listens to their body.
Customer service was top notch, and the vibe inside is pretty casual. There is some leakage happening by the front door, but that’s a easy fix.
