With my wife being a celiac it was important to find a place that can serve food that is gluten free as well as prepared gluten free. We were a group of 4 and all of our meals were great. Our server did a great job at ensuring the kitchen staff were aware of the gluten allergy. Overall everything was great. Many thanks
Terrible! Rude! Management sets the tone of a business and this may be the worst case of apathy I have ever encountered in a business! I have purchased premade items from this bakery several times and all were good, some were great, although I have noticed a decline in both taste and appearance recently. Tried to order a specialty cake and everything changed! First, the staff is unfamiliar of the products they sell and how they are made, but does not stop them from making obligations they cannot meet. Called to verify they could make a dairy free cake (dairy allergy) which they assured they could. Stopped by within the 24-48 hours they advertise to make the purchase. The employee did not know the difference between gluten free and vegan. The manager then advised that they could not do the cake because of a holiday and that would be less then 48 hours. This occurred on a Wednesday and the would pick up on a Saturday. However, they could make cupcakes, of course for an additional price. I did not want cupcakes, but a birthday cake for my grandson. (question here is how can they make cupcakes and not a cake? Or do they have cupcakes already made and are willing to sell the customer some stale premade cupcakes?) Cost is not the issue. Terrible customer service from the staff. The manager was rude and condescending. They did refund the money, but that was also an issue. First the wrong amount was offered (much lower) and then the manager said she would put it back on the card when it was a cash transaction. She was holding the receipt during this transaction. Will NEVER order or use this business again and recommend if you need specialty cake and decide to use this business to check and double check. Probably take the time to explain the ingredients to the person taking your order. Like I started with, in the past I have purchased items that were good, although the quality and the service have degraded recently. There are several great bakeries in this area so recommend doing your homework.
I love this place! Gluten Free Thumb Prints are on point! There breakfast sandwiches are to die for and the Espresso Milkshakes are worth drinking during a snowstorm without cold weather gear!
Great atmosphere. Very comfortable. Me and my husband sat in a booth, it was private and nice because we could see the tvs that are above the bar. It was entertaining. We had a wonderful romantic dinner. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Only downside would be I wish they had more desserts to choose from. We got a gluten free brownie with strawberry sauce which was good.
I was staying at a hotel near their location, so I walked over to see if I could get a take out order. The Manager (Miriam) kindly explained that they only accept online orders. I told her about my need for Gluten Free options and she patiently reviewed the menu with me, noting the items I should avoid. I used my phone to place an online order. Their online menu system is easy to use and I was impressed by the number of options. The food was ready in less than 15 minutes and it was delicious. Everything was very fresh, the portions were ample and the cost was very reasonable.

I stopped in at the Camp Hill Noodles and Company and asked for a salad and gluten free mac and cheese. The person who took my order said I needed to order a chicken caesar or mediterranean salad. I said can I just have a salad with no chicken and nothing spicey. So I watch her put like a hand full of lettuce in a bowl, it maybe came half way up, then a sprinkle of grated cheese. I asked if that was all that was going in the salad. The reply was yes this is a chicken caesar with no chicken. At lease they could have added some more lettuce. Another person turned around and said that was my choice. I said I didn't want it, honestly I couldn't see paying nearly $8 for a handful of lettuce. She gave me a refund, but it is a shame they didn't have the autonomy to add a few extra ingredients to appease a customer. I took the gluten free mac and cheese and left. Then when I went to eat my mac and cheese it wasn't cooked thoroughly, yugg. Outside of the shell was soft, but center firm, almost crunchy.
Went today for the first time! The atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly! The service was over the top - provided me with a brochure on the mission, spoke with me about the soap company and gave me a sticker. For my gluten free friends - YOU MUST get the toffee brownie it’s amazing, taste better than a real one! It’s salty and sweet!

The food here is always amazing and I really appreciate the effort they go through to provide gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan items. However, the service ALWAYS sucks. Every time. Last time I was here the table next to us was full of dirty plates the entire time we were eating. This time we were seated next to the waitresses podium thing and it took almost 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. Meanwhile, the wait staff were all hanging out talking and on their phones. There were about 4 standing at the computer. When our food came out, there was a mistake with getting a wheat wrap instead of white (no big deal) but my biggest complaint with the food is that my chicken cheesesteak wrap was the size of a hot pocket, but my brother's general tsos wrap was like twice as big and was cheaper. Overall, this place just needs either better training or more competent management. They don't seem short staffed, just unmotivated.
Also, the outside entryway is always filthy and covered with spider webs. It's the first thing you see. What does that say about their food safety practices in areas we can't see?
My daughter and I are visiting PA all the way from Louisiana. We blindly chose First Watch for breakfast because the reviews had pictures of fancy drinks. Best choice ever! A small wait, because it’s so popular, but well worth it. Brittany was very familiar with the menu and offered help with gluten free options. Even though the place was packed, the food came out hot and fresh in minutes… And it was delicious!
Fantastic little brewery. If you need gluten free options this is by far one of the best in the area. Food is delicious, atmosphere is comfortable, and their ciders are fabulous! Highly recommend a visit to this place!
Love checking out new places... and this one was worth the stop! The wind break patio with heaters had nice wooded views, but being semi enclosed, the man smoking there was too much for me to take, so we dined inside. High back, padded booths gave this restaurant a night lounge feel. The waitress was super knowledgeable with all the special dishes not listed on the menu, which was amazing since there was quite a few!
We ordered the crab cake entree and a special dish of habanero sauted shrimp over rice pilaf (originally over angel hair pasta, but subbed in rice to get a gluten free dish). The crab cake was good and the shrimp was AMAZING!! If the shrimp dish was offered all the time, I would definitely be stopping back for it. Perfect spice and the flavor was simply delectable. I couldn't eat the dinner rolls, so I cant speak on them too much. However, the looked great and my husband, who doesn't usually care about the bread served said the one he tried was great- crispy outside and chewy inside.
Overall, not our typical atmosphere for a restaurant, but we we're so glad we tried this place out!
My husband and I are thrilled that the market moved to Trindle Road; in Healthy Grocer's former space. Ruthie and her family have done such a great job with their new endeavor. We use to travel to Lititz, York and Biglerville to shop for organic, free range and grass fed items. Shopping at Green Ridge is an experience because everyone is so friendly. They make grocery shopping fun. LOL I would much rather support small businesses than the large stores any day. Here are a few of our favorites: Homemade Butter Pecan ice cream, Gluten Free Cinnamon Donut Holes, Organic Dried Apple Slices, Apple Cinnamon Sausage, Bratwurst, Arrowhead Mills Organic Gluten free flour, Raw Milk, Corn + Soy Free eggs.
We enjoyed breakfast this morning at the cafe. Susanna prepared the Very Berry Acai Bowl (best ever) for Dave and I had the Farmer's Breakfast Bowl. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. Thank you Ruthie and family for all your hard work. We appreciate all you do to bring healthy choices to our area. God Bless
Quality family italian and pizza staples in unassuming and relaxed atmosphere. Full bar, home made wine and gelato. Definitely kid friendly a few gluten free options too.
Cute little family-owned, friendly mexican restuarant. Food selection was good and menu items were as expected for a mexican restaurant. Had a few shrimp options too.
Flavors:
We ordered chips and salsa and beef enchiladas to share. As typical of central Pa, not a whole lot of spice- they definitely know their typical demographic that will be eating here! The flavor was great though, just as one would expect.
Did not ask if seasonings and such were gluten free, but the enchiladas are made with corn not flour.
Would stop in again if in the area
Very fresh ingredients. Very conscientious regarding gluten free order. My son wants to eat dinner here today too(we had lunch here). Highly recommend.
I have a gluten allergy and was told to come here for a burger. They did everything right! Changed their gloves, cleaned the whole work station and the same person from start to finish made my food! The burger was absolutely the best burger I’ve had in a long time! I ordered food for other people and they bagged my gluten free order separate from the other food. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be coming back. Good job guys!!!
