I have a love hate relationship with the Avenue bakery. Today I asked which sandwiches can be made gluten free. They told me, I order, 10 min later I get my sandwich and it is not GF. And no I didn’t have 10-15 more min to wait for a sandwhich. I’ve never had an issue with cross contamination. But I’ve had issues with customer service and quality. Their donuts are awful, the cream puffs are always hard and dry as are the eclairs. Even about a year ago, I picked up a bunch of eclairs for an event and they were awful. And I messaged Avenue bakery on Facebook. They apologized and said they’d give me a discount the next time I came in and I tried three times to get this so-called discount and All of them said they didn’t know what I was talking about. They couldn’t give it to me that I had to ask somebody else I’d show them the message from Avenue bakery and I couldn’t ever get it. But for some reason I keep coming back. But I think I’m done now. Just not worth the hassle that they’ve become. I love shopping, local bakeries. I love supporting local businesses, but this isn’t the one.

Most of their menu items are gluten free and when you mention you have Celiac Disease they take it very seriously. They even have a version of gluten free naan to dip in the most amazing curries and my favorite butter chicken.

i have food allergies ( gluten and milk ) and the staff were SO kind about it. i have never had staff be so accommodating before. and the food was amazing.

Good pizza. It is pretty much the Subway of pizza places. It’s not gourmet, but will do the job for a quick lunch break or is a good place to take the in-laws if you want to seem fancy. They have gluten free options and a nice selection of toppings. The crust is crispy/cracker-like. I am a fan, but if you like pan crust then you may not like it. Fresh out of the oven, it’s a little soupy so you’ll need to let it firm up unless you want all your toppings falling off. The prices are not egregious at around $9 per person if you don’t get drinks. The pizzas aren’t big enough to share for 2 people, but is a lot of food for one, the portion size is weird for me.

This was a horrible experience. First off, they were out of cabbage which is a main ingredient to their bowls and second, the rice they put in my bowl was straight up Uncooked. Crunchy rice. Cannot believe they served this. Also out of water cups, lids to their bowl, crunch bop, gluten free noodles. What a waste of time and money. Then I went to the bathroom and it was so dirty. This is not a place I want to eat ever.

A good fast food place that can work for lots of people. I went with someone who can’t eat gluten and she ordered the nachos.
