Actually we “just” wanted to go to Mizen Head. Thanks to a tip from an Irish woman, we took the risk of taking this detour and were not disappointed. Not only did they make me very sick by bringing me food with gluten on it when it was marked gf on the menu and I told them I was coeliac, but they were the rudest about it that any restaurant has been to me in my 15 years of being coeliac. I would never eat here again.

I ordered a mocha coffee, and the Badger & Dodo coffee lived up to its reputation—rich, smooth, and easily one of the best cups I’ve had in a while.

My friend got the full Irish breakfast, and the portion was generous enough to keep us fueled for hours. They also have vegan and vegetarian options, which is a big plus for mixed groups. The only downside was that the place was quite busy, so service took a little longer than expected, but nothing major.
The decor, with its nod to the historic Benedictine Priory, adds a unique charm. If you’re in Youghal and need a spot for a quality coffee or a hearty breakfast, Priory is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back next time

I love the look and feel of this place. You can step back in time and feel very nostalgic viewing their unique vintage items from beauty items to wine and art. The food menu though is far from vintage, it's modern fresh and full of flavour. I visited for brunch with two friends and we were spoiled for choice. As a gluten free vegetarian it was nice not to need a substitution as they have corn tostados with eggs that were a dream. My friends got a beef birria toastie and then we tried the chocolate brownies and carrot cake for dessert 🥰
