We went for a girls night out, with three of us, but unfortunately we timed it so that all the people who were headed to the theatre (doors open at 7, show starts 7:30) were just being served. We ordered quite quickly, but drinks didn't show up until we flagged a passing server at 45 minutes in, and even then one was missing, and we didn't get tap water until halfway through the food. Food was also very delayed, although delicious. The whole place emptied out almost completely at 7pm, so the atmosphere changed entirely because it went from bustling to quiet, but unfortunately the service still didn't improve and we waited so long that we changed our minds and didn't get dessert, and then struggled to get the attention of a server to get the bill, even though the place was empty. Everyone was too busy cleaning up after the theatre rush. Server was apologetic for forgetting our drinks near the start, but didn't seem to realise that we had been forgotten again later on. Vegan options were great though, and I know they also do gluten free.

Was thrilled with my visit here. We drove over an hour to this board game cafe because it was the only one I could find that had gluten free food options, and it was so worth it. This place is definitely a new favourite for me and my friends. The staff were all incredibly lovely and just so helpful, attentive and patient. 10/10 Lovely atmosphere and layout, it felt both cosy and spacious and is just a really well-done set up with nice lighting. There is a huge range of games to play and lots of options for beginners. There were also a great range of games for sale. The food and drinks were really great. My friend was blown away by the GF bagels and said they were amazing. All the food and drinks were so nicely made and presented and the service was really speedy as well. Would highly recommend a visit here!

The Gluten Free Guide

Finally, Sheffield has a decent gluten free fish and chips shop! The fish was super fresh and the batter was light and crispy. I would rate this as very very close to the best fish and chip restaurants I've dined in, including Rick Steins in Falmouth and Mr Chips in Whitby.

My partner is Gluten free, onion free and garlic free. We have visited twice and it has been great that my partner has had no adverse reaction to the meals he has requested. We have been able to pre-book the day before to enable the restaurant to accommodate my partner's needs and to be honest with his bespoke dietary requirements the Olive House has not failed. They are a lovely, friendly and committed bunch. We went yesterday, having pre-booked my partner's meal. Unfortunately his starter was forgotten and although urgently re-ordered, he was offered a plate of glutened bread, which did concern. We shall definitely go again, but I think they should re-evaluate their menu as two people in the party requested combination shush which came with a vast amount of rice, salad, potatoes but only 2 pieces of lamb and 2 pieces of chicken.. your food is stunning. It's just the combination of foods that needs addressing.. things just need tweaking... Don't give up.. you'll smash this...see you very soon. X

Beautiful garden centre with plenty of variety. But the place I love is the cafe. Good lord what a variety! Wonderful cakes and so many of them are gluten free. I would go here every day if I could.

Best gluten free burger ever! Bread that isn’t falling apart and really tasty burger and lovely crisp salad! Everyone is so lovely. Really great service and the soundtrack is just one that keeps the mood high and the tastebuds ready for more :) ps try the suicide sauce first and have a milkshake ready ;) we had fries and burgers and wings and Mexican soda and a shake. Really impressed. Will be back thanks everyone- So well down xx

Arrived on a busy Saturday evening without a booking with a very hungry swimmer. No problem accommodating us and couldn't have been more obliging. Vito, our waiter, was exceptional, catering to our gluten free requirements without any fuss. The food came promptly and tasted fabulous. Altogether a very memorable evening. I would give Jameson a 10*review if there was an option. We went for afternoon tea. A table of 6 with 3 very different dietary requirements ( df, soya free, gluten dairy nut free). From the moment I spoke to Antonia on the phone to book to the moment we left nothing was too much trouble. We all had the full afternoon tea experience including df cream. They knew I was soya free and 1 of us was gluten free so made the days scone special to accommodate and they were the best scones I've ever had. If you have special dietary requirements this really is the place for you. Antonia was extremely diligent and didn't make us feel like a nuisance. The actual afternoon tea was amazing but we couldn't eat it all so they gave us boxes to take what was left home. If your in Sheffield and want afternoon tea Jamesons is a must. We will return when we're back up this way. Well done team Jamesons

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Sheffield, the best Thai food I have had in the UK. No matter what I order, it’s always so good. It’s so good we even had our first wedding meal here after getting married! They even had gluten free options for my father in law My favourites are: - salmon pad Thai - hainanese chicken rice - pork belly bites - spring rolls but with the satay peanut sauce - khao soi beef brisket noodles - pad kra pao with rice and a fried egg - tom yum goong And of course for dessert you have to get the mango sticky rice! This is always a treat for us, and one we will absolutely keep coming back to!

Some of the best veggie Asian inspired dished I've had recently. The taste and flavours were great. I'd expect it in a restaurant but to be in a craft beer bar made it a great surprise along with some of the friendliest staff, super range of beers (alcohol free/lo also), dog friendly and nice decor. Also they were very good with catering for one of our group who are celiac with the promise of more on the menu soon. We'll definitely be back soon.

Absolute treasure of a place. Staff friendly, food and coffee delicious, and very reasonably priced. Asked for a sandwich made from sourdough as I have a slight intolerance to gluten so I eat sourdough instead of normal bread as it is better for me. They didn't have any but sent a member of staff across the road to get some. Top customer service. And the apple and strawberry crumble my partner had was beautiful.
