I have celiac, and after a long day of travel and walking, the last thing I wanted to do was worry about an allergic reaction to food. I’d heard about the gluten free bread from a friend and decided to try it. When I spoke with the employee, he was very kind about telling me the procedures in place to help with the cross-contamination of gluten. I was told there was no way to guarantee a gluten-free experience, which is very expected from a sub location. I decided to get the sandwich anyway and did not have any sort of reaction at all. The sandwich was delicious, the gluten-free bread itself was better than any I had ever had, and I will definitely return to firehouse subs locally. The staff was incredibly understanding and friendly, packaging my sub separately from the other sandwiches in our order and bringing them to our table. I would love to come back to Firehouse Subs in the future, especially with such an educated and understanding staff. Thank you so much to the staff working here :)
