A place that is safe for celiacs and Gluten free people! My fiancée is GF and dairy free by allergy not choice. Talked with the chef at the food and wine festival to find out not only do they have options, but they make their own GF lasagna noodle in house. And the GF bread is to die for. They label everything with a stick if it is special dietary. Thank you for brining some normalcy to eating out!
I found this restaurant on find me gluten free because I was looking for something my mom could eat and enjoy. I ordered the Thai Stir Fry bowl with Salmon. It has Caulirice with a stir fry mix of red cabbage, carrots, broccoli, red peppers + scallions and topped with Sesame Ginger sauce. My mom had the charcuterie board and their pancakes. The food and atmosphere was wonderful and we will definitely be back to sample several other menu items they have.
It was sooo good I did not take pictures!!!!
I recently ordered takeout from Melow Mushroom on Powers Ferry Rd one evening, and despite the pizza being on the expensive side, it turned out to be one of the best pizzas I've had in Atlanta.
We decided to build our own pizzas, and I have to say, they were absolutely worth it. One of the pizzas was gluten-free with a gluten-free crust, and it was delicious! I wasn't expecting much, especially since the prices seemed a bit high, but it was totally worth every penny. We can't wait to go back for more.
I highly recommend building your own pizza because you can create some amazing combinations. For the gluten-free pizza, I chose a pesto base with tomatoes, basil, and chicken, and it was incredible—honestly, it was even better than the other pizza we ordered with a regular base, pepperoni, and various vegetables.
Although we haven't had the chance to dine in at the restaurant, I 100% recommend ordering from Melow Mushroom. If you're in the mood for a great pizza, don't hesitate to try it!
Great family restaurant with a great location and plenty of outside seating to enjoy the square. Pizza is very good and they have a surprisingly good gluten free option for those who need it. Greek salad is also great.
I love coming here on my days off. The baristas are nice and welcoming. The coffee is a comfort and so are the couches on the stage. My only take away is they need more gluten free options 😁
The staff is awesome with food allergies. And they have a certified Gluten Free kitchen! A godsend for all celiacs out there. Thank you thank you thank you.
I really love this place! It's so cool inside with its painted walls and art and my sister loves it too because she has celiac disease (bad gluten allergy) and they offer gluten free pizza that is cooked separately from the rest!
We've been to their Decatur location many times AND LOVED IT, although since COVID, Decatur changed to an electronic table ordering/checkout system so the only time we saw staff was when they put the food on the table, and it was *not pleasant*. We haven't been back in a while because of that.
Reviews for Marietta suggested they DIDN'T do that, so we met up with our daughter and son-in-law for her birthday.
They had arrived just a minute before us and had menus and water. As soon as we sat down, a server asked if we were ready to order. We ordered wine and beer (and 2 more menus!) and asked for more time. The beer came out quickly, and the (different) server again asked us to order. We are vegetarian and 1 of us is gluten-free, so we hurriedly chose 2 apps & 3 familiar dishes marked GF to share. The food came very quickly; still no wine. The servers would barrel in, drop the dishes and fly away. I finally asked twice more for my wine and got it after we'd begun on the entrees.
The place is roomy and pleasant, similar to Decatur, and we appreciate "real" menus, which are huge. It was Tuesday, so not crowded, but it was quite busy and they seemed to be understaffed. At least, the servers we saw seemed frantic and overworked, and we were loath to flag them down. There was a minor communication problem between the soft-voiced accents of the servers, and my poor hearing, plus for each appetizer or drink we ordered (individually) they asked "One, or two?", which was damned confusing!
The food is really good, although I wished we'd had more time to examine the menu and experiment. It's so rare for us to find a fully vegetarian restaurant where we can order IT ALL, and yet we got stuck with the very basics because we felt rushed. I would like to have asked about the Dosai, which are this location's specialty, and are supposed to be gluten-free, but aren't *marked* that way on the menu. But it seemed like asking that of our harried young servers would have broken them. I'd love to go back but not when we are entertaining guests, and it's a 45 minute drive from our end of town, so it seems unlikely.
Jersey Mike's has gluten free sub rolls. I got a turkey and cheese on GF sub roll and it's delicious. Next time I'll add bacon. Yummy yummy yummy. All the employees were courteous friendly and efficient. Their brewed sweet tea is good tea too. Can't go wrong at Jersey Mike's. Check it out.
Seniors they have a senior discount
We have always loved pizza at Mellow Mushroom. However, I tried their gluten free crust and must say it was awful. Tastless. They should get a good cauliflower crust like most other places.
As a family of vegetarians (and one vegan) who love Indian food, we are fortunate to have so many good choices in this area AND we were so excited to try Chaska. The menu is all vegetarian, with a vegan menu on request, and is primarily gluten-free friendly as well. The food was outstanding and Sudha was an excellent server! Oh yeah…and serving robots!
