Just had the good fortune of ending up at Akomeya late this afternoon. We were looking for something off the Island and different and we found it! Both our entrees were delicious, menu options are vast and service was excellent by everyone we met. "Shorty" even assisted w/the difficulty of gluten allergy restrictions, which was most important and very helpful. It was a nice quiet spot and yet the contemporary design and atmosphere made me feel I was in a well appointed, hot new City spot. A welcome change for these two pandemic weary, Chicagoan foodies.
