The best grits and eggs I've had in years. I also loved the gluten-free waffle. But what I loved most is the premise behind this place.

Best place I've been to in a long time! If you're homeless, you can get a free meal by volunteering your time, you pay what you can afford and the food is great! They are accommodating with gluten free and dairy free options as well!

A real conversation with my best friend— GIRL!! We went to A Place At The Table in downtown Raleigh. Have you been? It’s just delightful. I dropped my wife off and found parking. Inside, she was kindly greeted by Peter who gave her the ultimate welcoming. “Have you been here before? .. Do you mind if I tell you about it?” Then I came in and Peter came back to check on us! I got a bacon, cheddar, & avocado biscuit with an iced cookies & cream latte with oat milk! My wife had a gluten free (gf) fancy turkey club with honey mustard made in-house. All delicious☺️ Bestie: “Holy [shhh] I haven't even gotten to the menu yet.. I LOVE their pay options!! Pay suggested, pay what you can, VOLUNTEER for your meal!?! I am so down!!” Pay it forward too!!!!!! They are supremely welcoming and diverse. It’s a dream. We had so many questions about allergies and the friend taking our order (Mael?) promptly answered and gave additional information. All-around spectacular and delightful!
