Holy smokes, Batman! As someone who often struggles to find great food options (especially gluten-free), Irregardless blew me away. Our waitress—whose name I regretfully forgot, and it’s not on my receipt—was phenomenal. I told her I was torn between a few choices, and she confidently recommended the Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich (GF). Honestly? One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in over 12 years. Crispy, flavorful, and totally worth the hype. 🌱 They accommodate a ton of dietary restrictions. 🍽️ Portion sizes? Generous. 🌿 Food? Incredibly fresh and delicious. 🏡 Location? Adorable. 🚗 Parking? My husband and I frequent Old Europe for their delicious cakes and coffee, so when it came time to pick a vendor for our wedding desserts, it was an easy choice! Abby helped us choose a variety of small cake flavors, and made sure each one was gluten free (I have celiac disease). She also walked us through customizing a larger cake for the two of us. Everything turned out beautiful, and our guests raved about how pretty and delicious our desserts were. Also of note- our original wedding was the day after Hurricane Helene. Old Europe made it super easy to reschedule for our new date!

Ferawyns has an outstanding selection of gluten-free pastries, baked goods, and chocolates—truly some of the best I’ve found. Every item I’ve tried is a winner, and the quality is consistently top-notch. That said, it’s hard to overlook the atmosphere created by the owner. I’ve been a loyal customer for some time now, and unfortunately, I’ve witnessed repeated moments where the staff are spoken to harshly and with open condescension, even in front of customers. The kitchen may not be soundproof, but you wouldn’t know it based on how freely negative comments are made—about both staff and patrons. In one instance, I asked if a particular item was still available because I loved it and hoped to bring some home for my family. The staff member kindly checked, only to be met with a biting, “Of course they are asking that,” from the kitchen. The attitude was unmistakable—and unprovoked, only to be topped off with her coming out of the kitchen to glare at me and then go back. It saddens me to see how the warmth of the front-of-house staff has shifted over time. Once cheerful and engaging, they now seem anxious and on edge. I can’t help but think how much stronger this business could be if the internal environment matched the joy and care poured into the food. I want to keep supporting Ferawyns because the products truly shine. But I’d feel far better doing so if I knew the people behind the counter were being treated with the same respect and dignity their work deserves—and that Joana viewed customers as supporters rather than wallets that shouldn't speak.

There aren't enough words to say how fantastic this local grocery store is! Not only do they do their best to source locally, but they have a ton of Gluten Free and Plant-Based Vegan options to choose from. They have a juice bar in the back, as well as a decent dog section. The brands that they carry for pet food is top notch. And they carry local Fox Farms & Forage mushrooms to boot. I got lucky enough to end up being one of the owners and she is highly knowledgeable and friendly. All of the staff that I ran across in the store were the same. When it comes to grocery shopping, this is definitely going to be one of my regular go-to's, even though it's not as close to me. If you haven't checked this place out yet, you are definitely missing out!

Good cake style donuts especially when fresh. They charge $2 for extra trays which is a bit much if you want to share orders. Especially since donuts come in orders of 2-4 on a stick. Gluten free options; may need to order ahead for those.

I love this place. I've been here a few times and I like it more the more I visit. The food options are numerous for me (Gluten allergy) and I'm all about organic foods. They are also very conscious of allergies and accommodate accordingly. The staff is friendly and playful, too! They clearly care about the principles of this place. And atmosphere is nothing special, but gets the job done. 5 stars for sustainability though, with their steel cutlery and plates. Come check it out! Totally worth it.

We discovered this restaurant when we visited UNCW with our son, and now that he is a student there, we make sure to visit Our Crepes & More whenever we’re in town. Snooze lives up to its fantastic name and only gets better from there. The atmosphere has a quirky diner vibe, complemented by exceptionally hospitable service. My wife ordered the Denver omelet with hash browns and gluten-free toast, and she devoured nearly all of it—which is a rare feat! I opted for the traditional eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and a side of bacon. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was one of the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had in my life! The bacon was irresistibly crave-worthy, too. Thank you, Snooze, for an outstanding experience!

We came here twice on an extended weekend and got to try the house made gluten free options: quiche, bagels, and a very yummy raspberry oat bar. All were delish! My wife had the same but traditional (not gluten free) and she enjoyed it. Pam is the owner and was very friendly. Highly recommended!

I have visited this place a couple of times both by myself and with my non-vegan nieces and nephews and I love it here. A very friendly team who are kind and considerate. My nieces and nephews love the place even though they are super picky and not vegan. My favorite options are the apple fritter, the maple donut, and the donut holes which are gluten free. All the food they make is incredible, coffee is delicious, and everything is very well labeled. My one gripe is there’s no gluten free sandwich bread. Which for a place that make gluten free items seems odd. So naturally as someone with celiac disease I can’t eat any of their normal menu items, only the gluten free bakery items (which is a good variety too!). I think the chairs could be a little more cozy. It’s very hard to sit and stay for a bit which I would prefer to do work. Otherwise there’s art everywhere and you can even watch the bakers design their cakes and cupcakes.

Despite being listed as celiac-friendly, this place is absolutely not safe for people with celiac disease. When I asked for a glove change, the staff told me there was “no point” due to cross-contamination on the counters and made no effort to accommodate. There is no dedicated appliance (toaster/panini press), and their attitude toward basic safety measures was dismissive at best. It’s very clear they do not understand or respect the precautions necessary for someone with celiac. Disappointed and would not recommend for anyone needing a medically gluten-free meal. Very disappointing, it was my favorite before becoming diagnosed.

Counter-service bagels, which are ok. Be aware that new ownership has paradoxically decided to eliminate both vegan and gluten free options from the menu. We were disappointed since we chose this place based on a Google search that claimed they have 3 vegan schmears and “a variety of gluten free options”. The staff is very friendly and prompt. The setting is cafeteria-like.
