Review in English + Spanish This bakery was such a gem to find! The inside is super cute, and they offer a nice variety of products—including some vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free options. Usually, they have about 1 to 3 flavors available that meet those needs, but they can sell out quickly, so I recommend ordering ahead or stopping by earlier in the day. My favorite is their vegan, gluten-free strawberry cupcake—it tastes like there's real jam mixed into the frosting. You can really taste the strawberry throughout, and it's just the right balance of sweetness. That said, one thing to note: they store the gluten-free cupcakes on the top shelf of the display with non-gluten-free items, which could be an issue for people with celiac disease or serious cross-contamination concerns. Also, there have been a couple of times when the cupcake quality wasn't consistent, which was disappointing—but most of the time, they taste great. The frosting is on the sweeter side and very generously applied. If you're not big on sweet frosting, I actually recommend saving some to spread on other baked goods (I do that!) or sandwiching the cupcake by cutting it in half. I've also had coffee from here, and I've never had a bad reaction to any of their drinks or baked goods. Just a heads-up: there's limited street parking nearby, and it's paid—so plan ahead if you're driving. Overall, a lovely spot worth checking out—with just a few things to keep in mind if you have dietary restrictions. My wife is gluten free and dairy free. This is one of only a few places in Raleigh who has both options and is most importantly...delicious 🤤

The Cupcake Shoppe made our cutting cake for our wedding- we went with a very standard vanilla funfetti (our favorite), but every flavor we tried was absolutely amazing. They also provided a half dozen gluten free cupcakes that we added on only a month beforehand, which my GF guests said were great! We had tastings with 3 different vendors in the area, the other 2 of which either didn't look as professional as we wanted or the cake was dry. The Cupcake Shoppe was so professional and quick to respond, and absolutely nailed the design we wanted without making us feel bad that we weren't getting a huge wedding cake (as other vendors made us feel). Can't wait for another reason to head back here, whether that's for afternoon sweets or another event. Highly recommend!
