Ambrosia India Bistro - Monterey

I used to really love this place. I have celiac disease, and almost all of their items are gluten free. They’ve always been pretty willing to accommodate me, and I considered this one of my staple spots. Unfortunately, after many times eating there successfully, I was glutened and got super sick. When I tried to discuss this with them, they showed very little compassion and basically hung up on me. So disappointing.

Fantastically tasty food in a lovely garden atmosphere with attentive service. Reviews here are mixed and extremely pleased to report that the restaurant is wonderful and recommend to fellow visitors to Monterey and the locals. We had draft beer, a mango lassi, the chicken tikka and saag paneer. Not sure of my spelling on those dish names, but the taste was ace. Tikka was super great. Mains at around $15-$22. Celiac friendly! Recommend!
