Antica Roma Ristorante

Unbelievable. This was a phenomenal find. We popped in on the off chance. We were greeted by the nicest man who showed us to a table. He was helpful, polite, natural and charming. He was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to help my partner with her gluten-freeness. I ordered a carbonara (which goes into my top 3 carbonaras of all time list) I'm not sure what my GF ordered, she ate it so quickly I barely saw it! This place was about 40 mins from our house but we're making plans to return as soon as possible.

Not being from the area and the fact it was around 8:30 we tried to get food in the two "big chain ' pubs thinking their kitchen opening times would be reliable and would closed at their advertised time. However we were turned away from both. As it was "to quite " Driving past we thought we would pop in but we didn't have high hopes of being served. However what I actually walked into was a warm welcoming environment. Happy and professional staff and absolutely delicious food ( one of the best gluten free pizzas I've ever had ) There was no issue that we walked into the restaurant close to closing time. It was an all round delightful experience and will definitely be coming again when we are next in the area
