Arepa Lovers. Colombian Street Food

A small but very welcoming place. Everything is very clean and the food is great. It's also a bonus that everything is gluten-free and pets are welcome. Congratulations on choosing this type of establishment.

If you're looking to try something different and high-quality in Gijón, you have to go to Arepa Lovers. We ate there recently and we absolutely loved it. If I had to sum up the experience, I'd say it was a 10 out of 10 for value. The place is great. The service was excellent; the staff is very friendly, they serve you quickly, and they make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. Zero complaints in that regard. But let's get to the important part: the food. The arepas are delicious. You can tell they use good ingredients, and the fillings are very well done. It's real food, full of flavor, and you leave satisfied. For me, the Colombian food they make there is top-notch. What we thought was a real plus is that all the food is gluten-free. I mention this because if you're celiac or if you simply want to avoid gluten, you can order anything you want from the menu without worrying. That alone makes the place a big winner. In short, if you're in Gijón and looking for a place to eat well, with good service, and without breaking the bank, Arepa Lovers is a sure bet. It's one of those places you recommend without hesitation. We'll definitely be back. My only complaint/suggestion to the owner is that they should open an Arepa Lovers in Oviedo so we could go every day. Highly recommended for a tasty and casual meal!
