Aurelia at Castle Hill

So first and foremost the views are just incredible. We were there on a very sunny and quite warm day. We dined out on the terrace. It’s one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. Take that all away and this place is still excellent. The service was exceptional in every way. The food was a very viable competition to the views. I had the burger and it was a top 5 ever for me. That and I had to have it with gluten free bread instead of a bun. Super juicy and perfectly cooked along with mushrooms, bacon, gruyère cheese, bibb lettuce, and a wonderful sweet onion-truffle aïoli. I had the baby arugula salad instead of the fries. Though my wife had those and they were super as well. She also had a big Caesar salad too. I highly highly recommend making this a stop during your time in Newport.

This is my second visit this fall. It was a totally amazing experience, which starts as soon you walk in to the beautiful foyer. The staff are so friendly, helpful but not intrusive. They were great with our food allergies (gluten) giving suggestions. Every question was answered with extensive knowledge and some wonderful stories tucked in. The food and pairings were delicious. Highlights would be Heirloom squash & Langoustine & the Antelope.
