Just a cool setup. Several good restaurants and shops. I can recommend 22 Bowen and the Black Pearl. Both had several gluten free options. Call ahead if you want to go to The Landing as their hours are inconsistent and appear to differ between their website, the posted hours, and reality.

So first and foremost the views are just incredible. We were there on a very sunny and quite warm day. We dined out on the terrace. It’s one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. Take that all away and this place is still excellent. The service was exceptional in every way. The food was a very viable competition to the views. I had the burger and it was a top 5 ever for me. That and I had to have it with gluten free bread instead of a bun. Super juicy and perfectly cooked along with mushrooms, bacon, gruyère cheese, bibb lettuce, and a wonderful sweet onion-truffle aïoli. I had the baby arugula salad instead of the fries. Though my wife had those and they were super as well. She also had a big Caesar salad too. I highly highly recommend making this a stop during your time in Newport.

We really enjoyed the Reef - I’ve seen some reviews saying the food was average and service a bit subpar, but we stuck to burgers and drinks and really it. Food was very good - gluten free burger made really well, which is a rarity. Lovely views over the harbour but nice atmosphere and at least the food we had was really nice.
