They have a gluten free menu and I had the escargot and Les Trois Mignons of cerf, wapiti, and bison, which was delicious. I learned on the walking tour it is the oldest building in Quebec City! Full of charm and warm ambience.

We went to this restaurant 11 years ago and had a wonderful meal , my husband wanted to have a meal at this place on this visit to Quebec city. Before booking we asked if there would be any problems with gluten allergies, the lady at the desk said no and that the server would be able to help with it. So we booked a table and went. From the start our server (an older lady ) when asked about gluten allergy said that the only thing a could have was the pea soup and the goat cheese salad . But I did not come for soup and salad , everything I picked I got the reply "non inclus" even my husband who wanted a glass of merlot was told "non, non inclus" ,he settled for the escargot , the turkey and blueberry pie, me I got escargot , goat cheese salad and creme brulee plus 2 glasses of horrendous red wine, I had to ask that she bring bread for my husband for the snails . My husbands turkey was dry ,the red cabbage was grey because it was over cooked and lukewarm, my goat cheese salad was bland , the escargots had no garlic taste. When the desert came we asked for 2 cups of coffee and where told "non inclus" I have to say that by this time I was fed up, we came to have a great meal and what we got was poor service and below average food . The evening was not over yet the bill arrived and my husband looked at it and saw that she charged us 53$ for the goat salad and questioned that price, she became so rude to my husband that he payed without leaving a tip , she not only made a point of saying it out loud that he did not leave anything but after we left she bad mouthed us the the table next to ours , but they told her that she was in the wrong.
