As a non-vegan person, this place was REALLY GOOD. My husband’s cousin came to visit us from overseas and she has very specific dietary allergies that essentially only make foods that are gluten-free and dairy-free/vegan safe. We found this place as recommended on a Reddit thread and I was amazed.
The ambiance was fantastic and the service was so wonderful.
We started off with the cremini mushroom toast and the artichoke toast. Both were incredible. I would come back just for these babies!
We ordered an assortment of entrees: roasted carrot, risotto, spaghetti, and the celery root pasta. The portions were pretty generous. My husband’s favourite was the risotto - he says it’s the best risotto he’s ever had (keeping in mind that we’re not vegan, so that really says something)! My favourite was the spaghetti. It sounded boring but the waitress raved about how creamy their carbonara sauce is despite it being vegan so I had to try it. It was indeed creamy without feeling heavy and the smoked mushrooms were just divine!
I wasn’t a huge fan of the celery root pasta, but the rest of the dishes more than made up for it.
For dessert we shared the lava cake.
I would definitely recommend coming here! Our cousin says it’s the best food she’s had since she was diagnosed with all her dietary restrictions!
