The last time we were at a bjs it was in California and the experience was horrible.
We had some friends visiting from Florida and wanted to go out for appetizers and dessert. We love the pazookies so we decided to give this bjs a try. Stopped in at 5pm on a Wednesday. When we walked in the dining room was pretty empty, the hostess stand was also empty, not a host/hostess in sight. After waiting for a few minutes the manager greeted us and said she would get our table ready. Thus our wait began again, we waited a few minutes then noticed she was no longer getting our table ready but now she was conversating with a man, we assumed was another manager. Finally the host came to the stand and said he would get our table ready. We were seated right away.
Shortly after being seated we placed our drink order (all waters except for a sprite) then quickly decided on appetizers and pazookies (one was gluten free), we ended up ordering one kids meal and a side of fries a well.
The appetizer quickly came out followed by all the pazookies except the gluten free one, then the kids meal and fries, still no gluten free pazookie. After waiting another 20minutes my husband spoke with the manager and it quickly arrived. Now we’ve been sitting for a good 40minutes, could all use water refills but nobody in sight to give us water. After waiting a bit my husband grabbed the pitcher himself and filled our waters then handed the pitcher to the manager.
After we paid $70 for two appetizers, a sprite we never received, a kids meal, side of fries, two pazookie trios and a regular pazookie my husband spoke with the manager. She informed him that she was delayed in seating us because the regional manager was there and needed to speak with her. How rude and disrespectful of the regional manager to stop her from seating guest so they could talk. He could’ve let her inform us that she would be a min or he could’ve let her seat is before having their conversation.
Not sure we will be back to bjs, maybe next time we will order to go!
