My first trip to this neighborhood restaurant was no good. The lighting is so low you can barely read the menus. The server was very slow. I asked for a gluten-free menu most of which was blacked out by a magic marker. I ordered a BBO burger with a gluten-free bun. I trusted their menu. The bun was so dry and it fell apart unable to lift the burger. The waitress said the gluten-free buns were not good and dry and asked if I wanted a new meal prepared. I said no. When I got my check the charge for this burger was over $17. when I went to the ( unfriendly) manager asking why the burger and fries was not $15 plus he said there was a $2 for the gluten-free bun. Had I known this I would have skipped the bun. Why didn't the waitress tell me there was an upcharge? When I complained about the bun, why didn't she take off the upcharge? She was quick to ask me ( to wait another 15 -20 minutes) for a new dish, that was her opportunity for customer service by removing this upcharge. Lastly, the food made me very sick and I'm assuming the culprit was the BBQ sauce. I had nothing to eat after the meal so It had to be the meal. Unfortunately, I will not be back to what I had hoped would be a new " regular" neighborhood restaurant.
