Bacco Italian + Wine Bar

Great experience at Bacco this evening! Exceptional service from our server James. I informed him at the beginning of the meal that i have celiacs, and he was very kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The food and drinks were delicious, and came out in a timely manner. It has been hours and I feel great, confirming that they did know how to handle my allergy and ensure no cross contamination. Absolutely recommend!

I hate to give this review but last night ended in a total Celiac attack on my wife, so this is why I am giving the grades above. On our reservation request, my wife stated that she had Celiac. When the waitress (M---n) came over she never acknowledged that she was informed of my wife having Celiac and even though we told her, that should have been a red flag for us either to leave or ask for the Manager to ensure the proper precautions were taken to prepare my wifes dinner. Unfortunately, I gave the waitress the benefit of the doubt that she would take care of my wifes food. The Manager never came over to acknowldege that precautions were being taken and that should have been another red flag. In all, my wife spent most of the night, early morning suffering from the cross contamination and continues to be in bed. I am highly disappointed in the waitress, who I told at the beginning, please make sure my wife's food is prepared for a person with Celiac and I will make sure I take care of you (meaning I would tip her very well). I even told her you are going to like us (again meaning a hefty tip). I held my end of taking care of the waitress but she failed in her task. The restaurant was not overly crowded, so this was a complete breakdown in the lack of care for a customer, from the hostess not informing the waitress to the Manager not overseeing the preparation of the meal! I am highly disappointed!

Amazing experience! My sisters and I all have stomach issues and eat variations of gluten and dairy free, vegan, vegetarian diets. They were able to accommodate all three of us without a second thought! The waitress said that everything is made to order and was so helpful in making modifications. She didn’t make us feel like a burden at all, which is huge for us. I’ve mostly stopped eating out due to my restrictions and lack of options. This is going to be a go-to place for us now! Thank you for a great dinner and amazing service!
