We have dined at Bahr's Landing many times. This may have been the last. The food is great. The service....not so much. You can see that I try to give only good reviews. Not this time. Our reservation was for 7:30. When we were seated 15 to 20 minutes later, the dining room was full. When we finished our main course, there were no other patrons remaining at any other tables in our section (and only 2 more tables in a completely different section). The service very slow. As we were finishing our main courses, the staff was busy cleaning up, including sweeping around us and even cleaning windows with spray. While this was going on, we were asked if we wanted dessert. We would have still been the only table remaining and I doubt the cleaning would have been paused so that we could enjoy our dessert without pressure to finish.
This dinner was to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I called in advance to ask about a birthday cake and the person with whom I spoke told me it would be taken care of. It turns out that Bahr's Landing does not offer birthday cakes, which I only found out when I asked our server about it.
Finally, my wife ordered her meal with gluten free pasta. When it was served, the person who delivered the meal confirmed that it was gluten free. She quickly returned and snatched it away from my wife stating only that it was not gluten free... no apology.
