About thirty of us ranging in age from two to 97 years recently met at Bambu to celebrate a friend’s 80th birthday. A twelve course tasting menu was designed for us some weeks in advance by the owner Jeremy, taking into consideration vegetarians, individuals with gluten sensitivity, meat and seafood lovers. On the day of the party, we discovered that a friend was now vegan, another wanted no onions in her meals and a young guest was allergic to peanuts. Staff at Bambu handled this promptly and without any fuss or complaint. A special mention to our main server Jennifer. The menu consisted of 3 appetizers, 3 sushi rolls and 6 mains including fried rice, Pad Thai, chicken and seafood curries. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. Dessert and coffee ended a very satisfying meal. Thank you Jeremy and Jennifer for a superb evening at Bambu.

I’m celiac so there aren’t restaurants that I can go to and choose from a variety of menu items that are safe and delicious. Bambu has that variety and they take such care when preparing my meal. It’s so refreshing to go to a restaurant and fully enjoy the experience!!! My husband is not celiac and he loves it as well!!!

Rating is based on very poor service received on December 1st. The short version of a long story is that I sat down with my family (3 people) and the server decided to take the order of a family of 6 people who arrived after us by 5 minutes. They even had their menus after us and she made an odd comment about how it won’t take long if they pushed their order through even though we were ready to order. Not kidding when I say the place was dead, but their order was taken first, they got their order, ate and were paying up before a single piece of food hit our table. This was 45 minutes. We were second class citizens and nobody should treat customers like this. I emailed my concerns to management through their website and didn’t even get a response. The gluten free food is good, but I don’t see myself going back for how they treated my family along with not bothering to respond when I reached out. Paying customers should all be treated equally and it’s just that simple. If you aren’t their preferred customer or friend then maybe you’ll be served later as well.
