Ban Thai

My boyfriend and I popped in for a quick dinner to go. We were taken aback on their hospitality & their willingness to accommodate me being Gluten Free. Overall, this is my new favorite thai place in the Michigan/Indiana area. 11/10 food. This Husband and Wife ran restaurant truly had the best service, but even better than that, they were the most kind hearted individuals I have ever met.

Food allergies? BEWARE! My daughter has severe peanut and tree nut allergies. We informed the waiter (who was also the owner) and he immediately told us to leave his restaurant. He said that he would prefer we eat somewhere else because he doesn't want us to sue him if she has an allergic reaction. We told him that our daughter eats Thai food frequently and we'd like to stay, but perhaps use a different pan for her meal. He refused to do this and insisted that we either leave or do not allow her to eat any food from this establishment. Later, another customer came in and disclosed her gluten intolerance. He informed her that it is her risk and he cannot be held accountable if anything happens. His attitude toward us was aggressive and insensitive, completely unprofessional. Never has my daughter been treated so poorly for having a food allergy. We will never eat here again.
