SUPER YUMMY! Our waiter was Anthony and he was amazing. I have gluten restrictions and he made me feel confident in the food I was ordering and catered to my restrictions impeccably. He also answered every question we had with confidence and if he wasn’t sure, he asked. The gluten free crust on the pizza is also divine and don’t get me started on their dirty martinis, WOW!! Overall a very good experience with my husband and we deemed it an amazing first date spot. Definitely recommend Anthony as a waiter and get a dirty martini😋

To answer your reply in regards to my review below, you’ve failed to address the main issue and instead shifted the blame onto me. Cross-contamination was never the concern — the issue is that I was charged twice: once by receiving a smaller pizza, and again through an additional fee. This is not a standard practice in the industry. Many restaurants accommodate celiac guests fairly without penalizing them. A transparent explanation and a bit of accountability would have gone much further than this defensive response. _____________________________________________________________ Extremely disappointed with my experience at Bernie’s Pizza Bar & Martini. I have celiac disease, which is a medical condition — not a dietary preference. Their regular pizza is 16 inches, while the gluten-free pizza is only 12 inches, yet they charge the same price plus an additional $5 gluten-free fee. When I politely raised this with the waitress, she checked with the manager, who said there’s nothing they can do, even though I had no choice because of my medical condition. It’s one thing to charge more for specialized ingredients — it’s another to treat a customer’s health needs with such disregard. I will not be returning, and I strongly encourage others with dietary or medical restrictions to be aware before dining here.

Gluten free be forewarned: box does not indicate size of pizza. After ordering a gluten free Hot Pep pizza & a Cesar salad for pickup, we were impressed by the size of the box upon receiving it. Once we arrived home and opened the box we were surprised and disappointed to say the least. I understand that gluten free crust is normally smaller due to it being harder to make and needs to be frozen, but the misleading box size left a sour taste in our mouths… pun intended. Charging extra for gluten free is also standard across restaurants but I can’t help but feel overcharged a bit when the pizza was close to $45 for what it was. Especially since you’re saving a substantial amount of produce just from how small it is. If we are to put that behind us and focus solely on flavour, it was good, but nothing to write home about. The sauce was nice, on the sweeter side, and the cheese was normal. The pepperoni were not cooked through enough to where they made the “cup”. The peperoncino and hot honey were very sparse for a Hot Pep pizza. It was not bad by any means, we were just hoping for more. The Cesar salad was lacklustre, completely average iceberg lettuce and dressing. Nothing special about it to make it their own. Once again, fine but nothing to write home about. One extreme positive was the service and atmosphere, I don’t want this review to sound like a bash, we just had an underwhelming experience regarding the food. It doesn’t mean the place is bad. The hostess and owner (Bernie’s son) are very nice and bring a positive energy to the place, and the design of the restaurant is very inviting and lovely. I would strongly recommend it to dine in! To conclude, I would say give it a go, but don’t expect to be blown away with the order we got. Maybe if I got a non gluten free pizza it would be life changing!
