Black-eyed Pea

Food was great, shrimp melted in my mouth, restrooms were clean, there was no wait walked in was seated and the waiter got us drinks right away. We ordered and 10 minutes later food came out. They had a gluten friendly menu and we didn't get anything with gluten in it.

The one star is for the empathy and appreciation expressed by our server for our level of patience with our experience. Our party of 4 is visiting Colorado and I have a gluten allergy. I chose Black Eyed Pea for this reason and the rest of our party was willing to compromise because of my assurances that the food and service would be good. Unfortunately that was not the case. Issues varied from forgotten items and incorrect orders to misunderstanding substitutions and another server who brought us our food becoming visibly frustrated with my request and snatching the incorrect order from my boyfriend's hands. We will not be revisiting this location nor recommending.
