I am celiac, and here’s my honest review of Black Sheep: The Poke Bowl is safe (and marked that way on the menu). I was a little nervous about the soy glaze, but the staff reassured me it’s been confirmed gluten free. The lunch entrée itself wasn’t anything to write home about—they used a bit too much sauce—but overall it tasted good. The gluten-free dessert was a miss for me. It was basically a ufo-shaped crusty meringue with a dollop of spicy blackberry sauce and some refrigerated-tasting whipped cream on top. The whole dish tasted old and was difficult to eat. I personally wouldn’t order it again. The atmosphere is very cool with plenty of seating and cool views. It was a bit cold but we were near the door. There are no gluten-free beers on the menu, which was disappointing but not unusual. Overall: decent GF entrée option, but dessert needs work. I didn’t get sick, so they do a good job with allergies.

We got salads which were good. A decent amount of the menu items can be prepared gluten free. Speak to the manager about celiac safety since the servers were not as knowledgeable. Overall I would come here again, and I felt comfortable having celiac disease.

Weather it’s a solo cocktail on New Year’s Eve, bachelorette party with 15 women of all ages, or family birthday dinner Black sheep has always delivered a great meal, great service, & a classy atmosphere. The roasted mushroom tacos had an amazing texture, a little spicy kick, and were full of flavor that hit the spot! They have amazing options for vegan, gluten free, and even a menu of mock tails for non drinkers. Thank you Black Sheep for a consistent performance & and an amazing meal.
