Blacking Pub was a fave spot when I lived in Courtenay years ago. Decided to check it out when I was just on a weekend getaway. The atmosphere was amazing and how I loved seeing the storm clouds pass by the beautiful huge windows that look over the Marina. Food was amazing and the were able to accommodate me being celiac. Portions were huge. Our server was amazing!! So welcoming, always smiling and quick with any of our needs. Highly recommended

Staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. We arrived at 11:30am and had a beautiful spot on the patio without having to wait. When we were leaving, about an hour later, the line to sit outside was an hour wait. The fish and chips were fresh and crisp, the falafel wrap could use red onion, or something similar, to enhance flavour and add crunch. Overall, incredibe view on a sunny day and there was air conditioning available inside. *They have a gluten free menu as well.
