Blanco Colima

Went for my birthday dinner and could not be more disappointed as it was the worst dinner I had during my stay in CDMX. The vibe was confusing and the service Was slow. While they tried accommodating my gluten free needs, they did so in a way that completely modified the dish without consulting with me while still charging me full price, which was extremely expensive for what I got. I could not even finish my meal, as it was so bad. I have had substantially better meals in the area and can't recommend this place.

Wow. This place was absolutely incredible. We walked by and thought the building was beautiful, so we made reservations for the following dang and we are so glad we did. Traveling with Celiac disease can be stressful, but the staff at Blanco Colima was knowledgable, and helped address my concerns, and made recommendations to help me feel confident. I has the house salad, the green and white risotto (made with Cilantro pesto), and the roasted beets. All excellent, and all gluten free. My partner had the sea bass, which was also gluten free and perfectly prepared. I can't say enough about how great the food was. And honestly, the cocktails were great too. I had a classic margarita, and then a mezcal margarita - both terrific, but the mezcal marg might be my favorite drink of the trip (possibly ever). Anyway, go here. It's great. You'll love it.
