Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel & Spa

I went for a spa day with lunch included bought via red letter days. It was an absolute bargain. Spa facilities were great , really relaxing and clean. It was a shame the changing rooms were out of use and we had to go through the hotel to a small room with only 2 showers and 1 cubicle. The food was fantastic. I'm gluten free and the lunch menu didn't have much option but the chef baked me batter free cod and it was lovely. Will definitely go back.

Lovely hotel for a short break. Local to the beach and pier and about 5 minute walking distance to the town centre. We had an enjoyable experience as the hotel was not overly busy and the COVID19 measures were taken seriously. The spa facilities and swimming pool area was good despite paying an additional cost which we were unaware of during the booking and were told at check in. There are two swimming pool areas and a hot tub which were well maintained. The massage was also lovely and relaxing and at a reasonable price. The gym was a good size too and although restrictions were in place of only 8 people at once, it was quiet during early mornings. The breakfast experience was not the best, as it was table service only and the menu was restricted due to the covid measures. The breakfast staff were also not confident in explaining clearly what was on the menu for breakfast and there were mainly gluten-free options available. There were only apples available which were tasteless, a few more whole fruit choices would have been great as fruit for many people is essential for breakfast. We didn't realise there would be an additional charge for the parking. Although it was not much for the duration of our stay, I think it's wise to inform guests in advance of any additional expenses. Overall a great stay and would recommend if you are looking to stay close by to the town centre or just want a relaxing break.
