Brasserie Bouillon Baratte : institution lyonnaise

I seldom to leave poor reviews but need to correct the impression that this restaurant is celiac friendly. I made a reservation indicating the issue yet the waitress was unprepared and unprofessional. A single item was suggested, a salad. I daringly selected the other green salad without dressing, it was smaller and less cheese centered, it arrived with croutons. Either she didn't bother to communicate to the kitchen or the person preparing the salad didn't care. This restaurant has a large menu, there are other items that could easily be prepared (slabs of meat? Potatoes?) GF but no effort was made to accommodate. The building has seen better days, it was modernized within recent years but things have not been kept repaired. Both men's and women's toilets reflected poor maintenance (missing door latches, urinals gone leaving only holes in the wall). Disappointing

Great atmosphere. Very knowledgeable about allergies and dietary restrictions in general. Wouldn't really recommend if you are gluten Free given how limited the options were, if you are gluten Free and going with someone who's not it's a good choice!
