Food : They have a few vegan options and at least one naturally gluten-free option. Their coffee was really good. I had a red velvet latte with oat milk. The hash browns I got (and reason I gave them 4 stars) were greasy and a bit undercooked on the inside. Atmosphere: It is cute and comfy inside. My friend and I were able to hear each other talk with no trouble. The music was just loud enough to be distracting, maybe because I liked the music. I can see this place being a good place to go and work and just to hang out with friends.

I’m from NY and it was my first time coming here with my best friend who is gluten free. She highly recommended this place because it has so many great gluten free options. I was curious to try it out and wow, it was so busy but easy to find seating at the bar. I had rice avocado and two eggs sunny side. They even had Cholula! So delicious. I was hoping for a tea at the end but we had to go soon. James and Diana were so accommodating and even gave me my orange tea for free! Definitely coming back.

We visited Bull and Bean for the first time while visiting family in Durham. The four of us ordered Charlie's Favorite Croissant, a steak and cheese sandwich, Kitchen Sink Salad, TLT sandwich... fried tofu with avocado, red onions, lettuce and tomato with Vegenaise on gluten free bread. With regard to the gluten free bread, it was a nice size and tasted just like regular sandwich bread. Very impressed. Everything was delicious! I also ordered an iced tea, which was freshly brewed and tasted really good. The tea and soft drinks were self serve, which we prefer. We went on Monday at lunch and didn't have to wait very long in line to place our order. Although we didn't order any baked goods, they looked delicious. Also, there was a gluten-free cookie option and a vegan cookie option. The restaurant decor was pretty, and the restaurant was clean. Something worth mentioning... the sandwiches do not come with sides. Everything is a la carte. Overall, we had a great dining experience and would gladly recommend this restaurant.
