COA Mexican Eatery & Tequileria Bellingham

Our first time at the Bellingham location of COA. The decor was very nice, more modern where the Mt Vernon location is more thw old school style. The service was amazing. We had two different people checking in with us and our needs were met promptly. The food was excellent, just as it was at the other location. They have a varied and interesting menu. I got the chile relleno, which was labeled as gluten-free which I need. It was so amazing! I can rarely order it so it was a treat but it was so we'll prepared and delicious. My partner was not wild about his burrito. He liked better the combo he ordered in Mt Vernon. But we will definitely be back. We like the menu, atmosphere and service very much.

Food was very tasty and the drinks were yummy, strong, and creative! Got the Tequila Sunrise, 3 tacos (roast pork, beef, and chicken) with rice and beans, and a cheese quesadilla. We also had enough to have left overs. They clearly mark the vegan and gluten free options and actually we made a mistake because of that. We saw the quesadilla was gluten free but didn't read it was flour and we could ask for gluten free so we misunderstood. But they were so understanding and gave us 5% which we feel really shows they care about their food and the experience they offer!!

As a celiac family we are hard pressed to find awesome eateries that work for us. Love everything about Coa! We’re not local (Canadians) but I definitely plan to come back!
