The Cherrier café never disappoints in terms of atmosphere.
However, I am disappointed with their offering of gluten-free options. For dinner, even the warm goat's cheese salad couldn't be made gluten-free, since 'all the goat's cheese had already been pre-assembled on a crust'. I found my second choice, the mussels marinière, ordinary. So were the fries that came with them.
Finally, I think that a place like Café Cherrier can afford to keep a small quantity of gluten-free sliced bread, frozen, in order to be able to offer some to its customers upon request (just as they serve the baguette at the start of the meal to the majority of customers). I understand that fresh gluten-free bread doesn't store well, but keeping some frozen is a very affordable option, and it would make all the difference for customers who have a very frustrating food allergy!
