Captain Zack's Seafood

My Captain Zacks experience wasn't as good as it could've been. I will say overall the food was great but the service did not match. First, our waitress was very nonchalant and dismissive about our gluten allergy when we were asking if the fries or chips are battered with flour before fried. Second, we ordered the coconut shrimp which had a very heavy coconut flavor (you couldn't taste the shrimp even with the batter peeled off. We asked if we could exchange it for something else and when we informed our waitress that the flavor was offputting, she took the food back to the kitchen and told us there's nothing wrong with it and it was included in our bill despite her never bringing the food back (kids and I joked that we'd feed it to the seagulls) Overall it was an ok experience. There are other spots for seafood around Chincoteague at the same quality and price but with better service so I recommend those instead

Great seafood. Limited options for gluten free, unfortunately. My mom has celiac and I ordered the blackened cod and corn on the cob for her. She didn't get ill, which was great. I wish they had a separate frier for their fries, but my understanding is fries and breaded items are all fried in the same oil.
