I went to Cartapaglia a few days ago. The very first thing I noticed was a live, 4cm cockroach flailing belly up on the floor next to our table. The girl who accompanied us to the table didn't notice it, so we reported it and they removed it. We also found a dead gnat on the table, and the women's toilet out of order. Not the best of starts, I must say. But despite the disgust for the cockroach and some doubts about hygiene, considering the numerous positive reviews and the need to find a restaurant that offered gluten-free food before leaving to go home, we decided to give it a chance. For heaven's sake, the food is excellent and the service is fast, they allow dogs without problems and, if I remember correctly, they have the certification to make gluten-free dishes. I also understand very well that on Lake Garda, in places like Desenzano, Peschiera and so on, it is difficult to find cheaper restaurants for celiacs. However, if I order a plate of "fried breaded tomatoes" from the appetizers, where it explicitly says "to share to while away the wait" (and when we asked how many tomatoes there were, they replied "Four. Three or four", I was expecting three whole tomatoes. Instead, a small plate arrived with three slices of fried tomatoes, half a centimeter high, for the modest sum of 8 euros. For the main course, we took a very good tanned pizza Gluten-free Fumé sausage, also very good. To drink, a 750 ml bottle of water (3 euros). The final bill was 48 euros, which is why we decided to avoid tasting the desserts.

Truly particular and excellent gluten-free pizza, it's been a long time since I enjoyed a pizza with a crust, not something to be taken for granted for a gluten-free dough.
