I've been going to Cassarino's since I lived on Federal Hill in the 90's. Now when I visit Providence I bring my friends and family. Years ago I became unable to eat gluten and have so appreciated that they have gluten-free pasta. A lot of traditional Italian spots can be huffy about accommodating this allergy (or celiac) and it's awesome that Cassarino's had made it possible for me to eat there. I choose them every time over the many, many restaurants in the area. Also, my husband is immunocompromised so the outdoor seating has been a blessing the last few years!
