Char Char

A hidden gem with outstanding food and service. I asked my local friends for a place that had something good and gluten free. This unassuming place packed in flavor and service. The bean soup was an explosion of flavor. The chicken fell off the bones, the hummus was outstanding. I love Mediterranean food and have travelled this tasted like I was there. The pieces of art on the wall were painted by the owner and felt like I was looking at museum pieces.

We greeted a older gentleman behind the counter who said “its going to be a wait”. No problem, its our first time here. I asked why the meats weren’t marked gluten free. He said “I don’t care”. A younger man stepped in and asked what gluten is. After the cringe moment I rolled the dice and ordered a quarter chicken and hummus. It was tasty but I believe the chicken was reheated because it was over cooked. Would I come back? Probably not.
