Wanted to give it a try because my girlfriend is gluten free and they had good options (on paper). Ordered takeout, $56 after tax for 2 items. Place is a total scam. Both were beyond awful. Pasta was mush. Salty and flavourless. I have no idea how this place has 4.8 stars. They told me the calamari was a pound, it wasn't even close. The decor inside is comical - my favourite part is the sign that says "KITCHEN" above the kitchen. Ignore the 5 star reviews. There's a ton of places in Toronto worth spending this kind of money at.

My mom, who lives with celiac disease, was visiting and decided to check out Chefrys on Powerhouse and they completely accommodated her. They had a separate fryer and the staff was informed about cross-contamination. And the food was delicious! She returned several times during her stay.

The reviews for Cheffry's on Richmond Street are seriously misleading — maybe they’re for another location or old management, but this experience was disappointing. The food didn’t taste fresh (the soup even seemed freezer-burned), and the service was indifferent despite the place having limited tables to serve. Most concerning were the mislabeled “vegan” options — one dish arrived covered in Kraft Parmesan, and a “vegan” soup clearly contained dairy. Likewise with anything lablelled "gluten free"; they labels seemed inaccurate dangerous for anyone with serious allergies. If you care about food quality, freshness, atmosphere or accurate dietary labeling, this isn’t the spot.
