We dined at Cicerone last night as a group of seven, including one friend with coeliac disease. While the food itself was enjoyable, the overall experience was disappointing- especially in terms of accommodating dietary requirements.
When booking over the phone, I specifically mentioned that we had a coeliac in our group. The restaurant informed me that they only offer gluten-free pasta, which was fine, but they failed to mention that she would still be required to pay the full $69 feast menu price, even though all she could eat was a single bowl of pasta.
Due to our group size, we were required to do the feast menu. However, when we arrived, we asked if our coeliac friend could order separately from the à la carte menu while the rest of us had the feast, but this was refused. When we raised our concerns with the waiter, the manager came over, but rather than being understanding, they were quite rude and dismissive.
While the food was nice, the lack of flexibility and poor customer service left a bad impression. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for groups, especially if anyone in your party has dietary restrictions.
