Best gluten free pizza! And just amazing food! I came here with some friends, being gf and vegan it's hard to go out with a group of friends who don't have dietary requirements and this place was just perfect! I was able to eat the same foods as my friends without feeling left out. I can't wait to come back .
Incredibly accomodating and knowledgeable about gluten free/coeliacs and what is suitable on their menu. Even come by with a card for you to have near your place setting with “coeliac” written so no servers mistake your order.
I tried the gluten free capricciosa pizza. Well-made dough, just the right amount of crunch. Very tasty and abundant ingredients. Definitely a quality Italian product here in Sydney.
Silvio, the owner, very kind and friendly. The wine was also excellent! 🤙🏻
Very welcoming place. Recommended.
Amazing atmosphere, amazing food, true Italian food. I was able to get gluten free pizza and it tasted amazing, a bit smaller but delicious so I’m ok with that.
Quite delicious. If you get the set menu, portions seem a bit small at first but by the end, you’re stuffed. Nothing super ground breaking, just modern Middle Eastern fusion done well and presented beautifully.
Sat outside and the bar table is a bit unstable, plus the ground is sloped. A bit awkward to deal with but not terrible.
Plenty of gluten free options and well communicated.
Nothing that stood out as a must have again but still a solid choice for an upmarket meal out.
I went to dinner with 3 friends and it was a wonderful experience. Atmosphere is really nice with seating both downstairs and upstairs and is very welcoming.
Menu is extensive and has vegetarian, dairy free, nut free and gluten free options so really something for anyone with a restriction!
Staff were very attentive and service was wonderful.
Can't speak highly enough of the staff. They were wonderful. Food was great. Margarita's were great.
Staff were very helpful with my friend who is soy, gluten and dairy intolerant. Still so many options on the menu for her.
I have been to Henrietta's a few times now, never fails to impress. Thank you
Came here for lunch recently and enjoyed it. The pizza was tasty, but the tomato sauce was really watery and had almost zero flavour. The toppings were tasty though.
The gluten free base was also very good.
Variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options. Great portions for 2 and delicious drinks, especially the house-made pineapple-lime soda!! 💛
I'll definitely be back to try the cocktails 🍸
We went as a group of 6 and the food was beautiful, as was the service and atmosphere! Thanks for having us!
Gluten free gang: the gluten free bases are delicious 😍
Very good experience,
Good vibe, amazing and welcoming service team with great recommendations on the food and wine. Delicious gluten free bread, mains and side dish were a little salty
Highly recommend
Excellent pizza, perhaps slightly salty, but very digestible. You can feel that the dough is worked well, since I have stomach problems, gluten free is also available.
Small, somewhat noisy, but familiar environment.
Right price quality.
Long term customers with an ever evolving menu of deliciously fresh, aromatic flavours. Couples, families, friends it’s a guaranteed great meal every time. Menu a little confusing for celiacs. Items not clearly listed GF.
My experience at Shaffa was nothing short of exceptional. The food is absolutely outstanding—rich in flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with creativity and care.
The ambiance strikes the perfect balance: sleek and stylish, yet relaxed and unpretentious. The unique layout adds a rustic, authentic charm that makes you feel like you’ve been transported somewhere far from the usual Sydney dining scene.
The menu is a standout—varied, inventive, and full of soul. Each dish reflects thoughtful preparation and bold, memorable flavours.
What truly elevates Shaffa, though, is the service. Veronica and her team strike a rare balance of being warm and personable while remaining impressively professional and attentive. Nothing feels like too much trouble.
We were looked after by the wonderful Francis, who brought the whole experience together with his deep knowledge of the menu and wine pairings. He took the time to ask insightful questions about our preferences and made thoughtful recommendations that hit the mark. His attentiveness—especially toward my partner’s gluten intolerance—was both considerate and seamless.
I can’t recommend Shaffa highly enough for your next meal out. You’ll be in for a memorable, delicious experience from start to finish.
✅ Separate fryers for gluten-free items.
✅ Practise safe measures in the kitchen.
✅ Ask if you’re coeliac if you order gluten-free, so they can make a note for the kitchen.
✅ Nommy food!
Gluten free and vegetarian options avaliable. We had a toasted sandwich each and a side of chips. Good portions and delicious. Happy hour between 4-6pm. Aperol Spritz for $10, nice and strong! Lovely outdoor seating and attentative staff.
I went for mother's day, and I am in a family with 3 coeliacs and 1 nut allergy. Armorica staff was so accommodating. They have a separate fryer (yes, you can enjoy the fries) and service was perfect! We ordered the market fish tartare, all three fish options, the sirloin and pretty much every side dish on the menu. Everything was very well balanced. Overall a pleasant experience and I would 100% come back to try some of their other things.
You can’t go wrong with Crust. It’s a premium place with heaps of toppings.
Gluten free pizza is excellent!
If you are looking for an Italian style pizza, this is not for you.
However, I can’t say how the other two pizza places next door compare.
Hạnh Phúc Vegan
242 Elizabeth St Surry Hills. (Note entrance is on Albion St.)
Once you step inside and are greeted with genuine warmth, you know you're in for a treat.
Despite the sign when you enter, No Chili, No Garlic, No Dairy, No Onion (which might deter some), the dishes here are bursting with delicious flavors that even non-vegans like me can appreciate. Some options are also gluten-free.
The star of the show is undoubtedly the Pho, available in various varieties, each one a delight. You won't be disappointed. The spring rolls and salads equally impressive.
What sets Hạnh Phúc apart is not just the food, but the genuine hospitality extended by the owner. From the moment you walk in, you're made to feel like family, and this warmth carries through to every aspect of your dining experience. The owner's kindness knows no bounds, and ensure you leave with a smile on your face.
Despite the high quality of the food and service, the prices at Hạnh Phúc Vegan are surprisingly affordable, making it accessible to all.
In fact, the owner's generosity often extends to throwing in a little something extra with your meal, ensuring that you feel valued as a customer.
One aspect worth noting, go to the bathroom. It may seem like an odd inclusion in a review but trust me when I say it's a “Cu Chi” tunnel experience.
You will leave with a full stomach, a happy heart, and a newfound appreciation for the joys of plant-based dining.
We went to the caberet event last night and had a great time! The food was absolutely amazing and served quickly with great timing in between meals. The service was really great. Lots of gluten free options which was nice! The show was amazing. All in all a really nice night. We are planning to come back soon :)
Sarah was amazing , so patient and accommodating to our large group of people with different dietary requirements tonight . I had custom made vegan gluten-free pasta and I loved it !
So so impressed! Absolutely recommend Arthur to everyone, worth every penny. The service is also phenomenal. As someone with Coeliac (GF diet) they were so accommodating and took great care preparing my dishes. The food is so delicious and the ambience is beautiful. This is a new favourite for me.
Visited for the first time on new years day. Staff were super friendly and greeted us with a smile and a ‘happy new year’ greeting which was nice. We sat near the window and ordered via the QR code on the table. We both enjoyed the pita breads (gluten free and wholemeal low carb pita) & dips (tzatziki and eggplant). We will return here for another meal when in the area again. They are located only a short walk from Central station on the Woolworths side.
Just can't go past one of the various banquet menus for variety and value. One of our party was a celiac and they were happy to swap out one of the items for a gluten free alternative
We dined at Cicerone last night as a group of seven, including one friend with coeliac disease. While the food itself was enjoyable, the overall experience was disappointing- especially in terms of accommodating dietary requirements.
When booking over the phone, I specifically mentioned that we had a coeliac in our group. The restaurant informed me that they only offer gluten-free pasta, which was fine, but they failed to mention that she would still be required to pay the full $69 feast menu price, even though all she could eat was a single bowl of pasta.
Due to our group size, we were required to do the feast menu. However, when we arrived, we asked if our coeliac friend could order separately from the à la carte menu while the rest of us had the feast, but this was refused. When we raised our concerns with the waiter, the manager came over, but rather than being understanding, they were quite rude and dismissive.
While the food was nice, the lack of flexibility and poor customer service left a bad impression. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for groups, especially if anyone in your party has dietary restrictions.
Do you like cheap, but good pizza? Welcome back to the competition, Dominos.
If you really want to feed 5 plus mouths and the politcians who own your household are unreasonably hiking up the rent, look no further than good ole Dominos
Sure, they lost their way for a bit, but don’t we all?
You’ve got options, you’ve got an app, you’ve got vegan, gluten free, and you’ve even got that 90s garlic bread wrapped in foil - yep, that one that is probably more cake than savoury dish.
Thanks for being who you are Dominos.
Don’t go changing, or trying too hard, you’re perfect who you are.
Very homely and absolutely delicious food. Huge range of Gluten Free options which suited our needs. The service provided by the owner was extremely friendly and helpful when choosing our meals. I would highly recommend Mexican Burrito Cantina to anyone looking for a traditional Mexican restaurant.
Sweet and cosy cafe with high quality food, beverages and amazing customer service. The staff provided us with a blanket when it was chilly outside, and answered all of our questions about the food, including whether items were gluten free, as one of us is coeliac.
They even pulled up an extra chair for our little pup at our outdoor table, which was very kind. When it started pouring down with rain, they invited us inside and set up a table for us to keep dry. We are in love with this place after stumbling across it today, and will definitely be back!
At the super cozy family restaurant Sang by Mabasa, we opted for the 'feed me' menu, an excellent choice for those seeking a Korean culinary experience. The food was incredibly tasteful and succulent! They offer gluten-free options and a variety of drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant!
My friend and I were taking a noon walk, passing by this beautiful restaurant in Surry Hills. The atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful. Mishy greeted us, led us to our table, and handed us a very sweet, fresh slice of watermelon.
The dishes were beautifully fresh and very healthy. If you order a salad, I would recommend adding cured ora salmon; it's delicious. Before I left, I took away a pistachio gluten-free dessert. It was just the cream on top of the cake. I would definitely come back again :)
After waiting YEARS for a reservation we finally got one and this place didn't disappoint... The service here was impeccable, every person that served us knew their part to a T! We were educated on food and wine and nothing was a hassle - even our gluten and dairy free requests. One on the bucket list ticked off but would love to return again
I was very disappointed with the service. I clearly informed the waitress that I am coeliac, but they repeatedly overlooked my dietary restrictions. They initially brought out a dish with croutons, and when I asked if it was gluten-free, they seemed confused and said mine was still coming—clearly indicating they had forgotten about my allergy. It then took another 10 minutes to receive my meal, and unfortunately, I became sick after eating. Given the lack of care and attention to serious dietary needs, I won’t be returning.
Beautiful meal and ambience. We sat in the more formal side of the establishment at the bar.
Appreciated being able to eat food of this standard at 4pm on a Saturday. They cater for gluten free and have a decent selection of mocktails.
