El Loco at Excelsior

Good drinks. Easy access to the bar. And food was decent. Gluten free options were also pretty good and didn't seem like an after thought.

There's an option with ordering to select no coriander 🤩 The menu is clearly marked with gluten free, dairy free and vegan. When ordering via the QR code you can also indicate that you have an allergy (about 12 options to choose from). When I ordered at the bar and mentioned gluten free they checked if it was for coeliac - brilliant. The service was friendly, helpful and super speedy - though I did visit after lunch on a weekday. I ordered three tacos for $21. The tacos have really generous fillings. The corn tortillas are so soft and so fresh. Perfectly thin, maybe too thin as one dissolved under the weight and juices of all the meat. 😅 Pork was super juicy and tasty. The beef was slightly dry but I did remove the caramelised onions because I don't like them. I added hot sauce to compensate (all are labelled GF, el yucateco). The chicken was the favourite, awesome spices and charred bits made for great flavour. I think the non gluten free version is fried so it'll be different. There's plenty of outdoor seating (with heaters), indoor seating at the entry and a hidden section outback. It's really a really large venue.
