Circle E Drive-In

Stopped in on our roadtrip and were taken with how delicious the burgers were. The patty was incredible! They have gluten free buns (good kind, not the crappy ones that crumble) and are very celiac friendly. When my wife mentioned her allergy, the cashier turned around and told the entire kitchen staff the order had a celiac allergy. Last thing I’d say is our road-trip was through twelve states with many many meals (from humble diners to fancy steakhouses). Circle E burgers were up there among the 5 best meals we had the whole trip.

I remember coming through here a few years back and was blown away by how amazing this place was: my son had never had a better gluten-free bun, and the beef was spectacular. This year, the gluten-free bun was more typical and they no longer have the grass fed beef burger. It was still a great stop, but I was disappointed after our expectations were so high from previous experiences. I still highly recommend this fabulous gem if you're gluten-free driving through SD, but my disappointment in the changes was high.
