There were plenty of gluten-free options. The salads were fresh but small for a meal. The flat breads were plenty to share, staff was friendly, but service was slow.
A fantastic place to stop and grab some breakfast. The service was fantastic and the staff were so nice. They have a great gluten free selection as well. A little on the pricey side but you can taste the quality in the food.
Disappointing experience. Although listed as vegan and gluten free in google, the options are very limited.
I had a soup that was decent. My partner had a vegan platter(warmed on a microwave) that came in a small cafeteria plate with a spoon full of 2 sides and a tiny falafel(not gluten free) "wrap".
I live in the Boston area, and I had to go to Sioux Falls to find the best gluten-free pizza I’ve had yet. Lots of good options for people with gluten sensitivities, and my server was very friendly and knowledgeable.
The prices are a bit high, but it’s justifiable for North End-level Italian food in South Dakota.
I have celiac and was able to safely eat a burger here. No dedicated fryer, but after two days in the Black Hills with very few options it was like finding a watering hole in the desert.
Over the last week, we have tried multiple different coffee shops in Rapid City. Alternative Fuel is by far our favorite! We found ourselves back there time and time again.
The coffee was so good it didn't need any sweetener or cream.
The atmosphere was very laid back. We loved the music and the messages.
The fact that they had delicious GF options for my children who need them was AMAZING! (Gluten Free) The food that they got was very tasty, even by my non-GF standards.
This coffee shop was less convenient than others in the area (no drive through) but was 100% worth parking and going in!
We loved the outside tables right on the square. It was very enjoyable being able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful early-summer mornings, and some days, there were even activities going on there.
Many things gluten free. Food not tasty though. Server was okay but seemed a bit unhelpful in the gluten free department. Said if I wanted the tater tots that they have a gluten free fryer and it would be 25 minutes to warm up to make them. We did not want to wait 30 minutes for our food. So much for the gluten free dedicated fryer....total waste. Atmosphere was ok .. not a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Served the wedge salad with a diluted balsamic vinegar dressing. Not blue cheese. It had some blue cheese crumbles which did not go with the balsamic dressing. Later someone asked for blue cheese dressing on their salad...Wish I had known...I should have asked. Because I didn't want to wait 25 minutes for them to heat up the dedicated fryer I got the cottage cheese...which was bland and not at all tasty. The chicken sandwich on a gf bun was a skinny piece of flattened meat, so dry. No breading because it was gf. And the server also said no cheese...because there is gluten in cheese??? NO .. no gluten in most cheese! Just because you can't have gluten doesn't mean you have to be dairy free as well. Especially since I was having cottage cheese. The server should ask, not assume. No sauce of any kind. So dry...but all the moisture was in the bottom of the gf bun, causing it to be gooey and just fall apart turning it into mush. Did not prepare the gf bun well. Will not go again. But in a pinch you can get something there.
Neat atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious pizza. Grill had lots of great options to choose from, including a gluten free menu with crusts and pasta.
Gluten free crust is getting very thin. Still good but can't pick it up without dropping the toppings... 😵💫
When it is allergies to wheat/gluten but when they get down to the end the cutting is with the ones cut on regular crust.... Last time I told him i will cut it at home..,
What a little gem in Mitchell. The food is fresh, delicious and delivered with care, the staff are friendly and the restaurant is delightful. I would like to mention wonderful Colleen, who went above and beyond to inform me of their gluten free options which I greatly appreciated. We will definitely become regulars at this lovely establishment.
GLUTEN FREE REVIEW

This place was amazing!!! Food was delicious 😋 but their customer service is EXCEPTIONAL!!! They were so knowledgeable and helpful with their food options. My friend has Celiac Disease and has to be Gluten Free and they go out of their way to make sure she got food options that were safe for her. They even went in the back and checked to see if she could have a certain soup and came back and let her know she couldn't as it contained gluten. We were both extremely impressed by their entire staff and to top that off the food was absolutely delicious 😋
Unfortunately, we stopped because it advertised Gluten Free and didn't have anything, but the rest of the food was great. The donuts tasted amazing, and the 4 shot mocha was made to my taste and was done perfectly. Took a bit to order and get but was worth the wait.
Our waiter managed to drop an entire tray of water on me—soaking my clothes, my seat, and completely ruining my evening as I had a meeting to attend directly after. Sure, accidents happen, but what really set me off was the complete lack of an apology or any effort to make things right. Not a single “I’m sorry,” not a manager check-in, nothing. He just kept moving on like I didn’t just get drenched....in front of like 20 people. Which in it's own right is respectable because I can always appreciate someone who can keep their cool, BUT NEVERTHELESS:
When the bill came, the only attempt at compensation was offering me a slice of cheesecake—which, surprise surprise, I couldn’t even eat because I have a gluten allergy (slightly irrelevant but point in case remains). Take your date night, special occasion, or whatever literally anywhere else.
First time at an Inferno Food by Fire, we liked it. We searched Google for a pizza place with gluten free options and this was what we found. Great option. They have regular, gluten free, and cauliflower crusts. We ordered 3 pizzas for 4 people and an order of chest bread sticks with marinara sauce. Friendly service, the young lady helped us navigate the "new to us" menu. The pizzas, although thin crust, were flavorful and filling. We had leftovers. The bread sticks lacked in flavor, but they were just a side. We would definitely eat here again. Not the cheapest pizza place, but I'll pay extra for unique flavors and combinations.
Tasty food in a comfortable environment. Staff was friendly and food was served quickly. Several BBQ sauce flavors to try.
We like our BBQ, and this is some of the best we have had.
Lots of options for gluten free.
Great place all around! good seasonal specialty coffees, cheerful staff, nice atmosphere and fresh made, hot breakfast burrito. Many gluten-free options available. The owners are in there working, and keep things running smoothly.
Beautiful atmosphere with wonderful live music. The gluten free noodles were splendid and chicken very moist. The only semi-negative part is that the service took quite awhile, from ordering, to getting our food, to getting the check, we had to wait a very long time in between and spent close to 3 hours there.
Tasty breakfast options for the gluten free crowd and able to please a picky vegetarian. Add to that good coffee, bakery items, specialty drinks, good service, and plenty of nearby parking. A winner on all fronts for those passing through or making this cafe a regular hangout.
Our pizza was so good. It might be the best gluten free crust I’ve ever had. Highly recommend. The owner was super nice. The staff were all very friendly.
We love 5 guys, I have celiac disease and ordered the burger on a lettuce wrap. I told them it was an allergy but there must have been cross contamination because I felt bloated and sick for the rest of the day. I've ordered from here 10x and this has never happened so I think it was just this one time they must not have changed their gloves. Very good food though
The staff went out of their way to make sure I was fed safely. South Dakota was challenging to travel in with Celiac and needing to eat gluten free. I tried Red Rock after reading reviews on findmeglutenfree. I truly appreciate the effort and kindness. Thank you.
There's so many gluten free options - they should really have a separate menu that shows them! The waitress was very patient with all my questions about cross contamination and I had some really delicious ribs (with the gluten-containing house BBQ sauce swapped out for a celiac-safe bottled BBQ sauce).
We went to Crawford's last night for the 2nd time for our daughter's 16th birthday per her request. What a great place! We were lucky enough to get our same server, Natalia, who is beyond wonderful. Our daughter has a severe dairy allergy. Natalia made sure again to communicate with the chef about our daughters needs and the chef went above and beyond again to provide her with a safe and great meal! Then he also again went out of his way to provide her with an amazing desert that out did his last one! They even made sure my husband's gluten free food was safe for him as well! And when I say they were busy they were busy.
If you have any type of allergy and want an amazing and safe place to eat. This is the place! These people are absolutely wonderful and really care about their customers! And just a heads up, call ahead and let them know of your needs.
Hankering for a huge plate of delicious breakfast? Skedaddle over to Josiah’s! The service was incredibly fast for my bacon, Gouda and carmelized onion omelette. They didn’t have gluten free bread but offered to give me more fruit instead, which was nice. Plenty of seating. Great place for the family.
Great food, the chicken bacon ranch Mac and cheese, and the chicken bacon ranch nachos were really good. All of the nachos except one were gluten free which was great since my wife has celiac.
I appreciate the gluten free options. Hard to find restaurants that cater to healthy options. Decent prices and military discounts. I never use the drive through.
Stopped in on our roadtrip and were taken with how delicious the burgers were. The patty was incredible! They have gluten free buns (good kind, not the crappy ones that crumble) and are very celiac friendly. When my wife mentioned her allergy, the cashier turned around and told the entire kitchen staff the order had a celiac allergy.
Last thing I’d say is our road-trip was through twelve states with many many meals (from humble diners to fancy steakhouses). Circle E burgers were up there among the 5 best meals we had the whole trip.
Very good coffee, food and staff is great. If this is your first time in Custer, this is a stop you dont want to miss! So many different things to choose from and have gluten free options.
Food was really good, they had decent gluten free options. The server knew what was gluten free.
My glasses all had lipstick marks. And every new glass they brought me also had them.
Food was tasty, though my chislic came out cold. But everyone still seemed to like their meals. Also the creme brulee was good but burnt in the center. We just peeled the burnt part off and enjoyed the rest.
I came here solo on my staycation in the hills. Coming up the street, the aroma of the food wafting from the restaurant, smelled amazing!
When I walked in the door, I was greeted warmly and the place was bustling. I had reserved a counter spot and the hostess asked if I would like to wait a few moments for a table; I chose to remain at the counter. That was a great choice! One of the best parts of my meal was being able to watch the chef and his team prepare each dish. Everyone worked together like a well-oiled machine.
My server was attentive and noticed that on my reservation, I indicated that I have a gluten intolerance. Throughout the meal, he guided me to the options on the menu that didn’t contain gluten or could be modified.
The food came quickly and was beyond delicious; I savored every bite. I ordered the foie gras for an app and the steak as an entree. I was too full for dessert but will certainly leave room next time I visit to try it.
Also loved to see children welcomed to this fine dining establishment.
Lovely little place I found downtown while in town for work. The gal at the counter was super kind and pleasant. As someone with celiac I was thrilled to find a gluten free spot! Had the Italian sandwich and soup and it was great! The roasted garlic and fruit on the side was such a nice touch too! And I had their specialty fall coffee which was also fantastic. Super cute inside felt like an old coffee bistro. Great vibe. Will definitely be back!
Sandwiches were SO good and we love that they’ve got Gluten Free bread. Staff was nice and helpful too!
Cold brew was very watery and just kinda burnt tasting so def stay away from that one
This is a great location if you are in need of a quick meal. I was very surprised to find out that they had gluten free options. However, when I would place my orders they always had to be sent back due to there being cheese or other issues. This happened 3 times. Otherwise, this is a solid choice for a quick meal.
Went here based on idea that items would be labeled Gluten free. Menu is labeled but no dedicated fryer so some things are labeled and not celiac friendly. For example the pork nachos are labeled GF but the waiter came back to tell us the chips are fried in a non-dedicated fryer. They should not label items that are not guaranteed GF. Did have GF bun for burger. Burger was good. Service was not.
