Citrique

Truly a 5 star+ experience for Buffet Breakfast at Citrique yesterday morning. Have been a number of times before and it just gets better and better. Food so fresh and tasty and beautifully displayed, and such variety. And service professional, warm and prompt. Love the detail of the décor eg Gluten Free signage incorporated into fixture. I had the pleasure of working for ITT Sheraton/Starwood/Marriott for the majority of my career, and I have had the privilege and enjoyment of experiencing many of the group’s hotels and brands over the years, and JW Marriott Gold Coast - and breakfast at Citrique - are definitely right up there amongst my faves. I love this hotel (which was transformed in 2020/2021 from a Marriott to the Luxury brand JW Marriott) and look forward to returning again and again.

I've been going there for years. We had the same waiter as last time he's hopeless. Tall guy with glasses in the back. He spends more time in the kitchen and behind his desk than looking after the guests. My daughter is Celiac and the chef always looks after her. The reservation person forgot to put it down on our reservation. I order sushi, I talked to 3 people last night and hour later after my daughter finished dinner it arrived with her gluten free desert. The drinks we ordered came out 40 mins after order, it was on the table and on the glass not much left in the glass. The manager rang me today and he acted like this is not a big deal. I spent over $500 got bad service and at the end it was uncomfortable because the wait staff was told off. I wont go back again. Its lost its charm. Before Covid it was 5 star now maybe 1. Such a shame. Foods good but service is lousy
