We went here to try the food as my friend is celiac and they offer gluten free options.
Food was yummy. Lamb pieces were abit tough but the other 2 skewers were a hit!
Rice was bland but the yoghurt helped.
Ambience is nice though tables were very crowded in small space.
We had a great experience. A table of 3 adults and 1 child with gluten and dairy allergies and our waitress Meg was a pro at making sure our orders were suitable. Thank you!
One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to. The reviews we so good I thought, I have to try Alfresco Italian. I'm celiac, and they catered for me without any trouble. The meals were delicious, service was top level and a great atmosphere and decor. I'll be back.
Was excited to try this restaurant as it came recommend for gluten free dining. We enjoyed a tasty pasta dish and flatbread, with very generous servings. Prices are a little higher but one pasta dish and flatbread was plenty of food for two adults to share.
Fantastic dining experience. Lots of Gluten Free options, which us why we came, but we were delighted by the warm welcome and fabulous service. We will definitely be back.

WARNING TO ALL CELIACS AND THOSE ALLERGIC TO GLUTEN AND LACTOSE!!! (Vegans too, I guess)
*Next day - My gutts have reacted to my lactose allergy, and it's bad... I clearly received lactose as well as gluten in my food. This Grill'd is a joke and should be shut down. Or maybe delete all the staff and management, and replace them with a team that is trained in allergy awareness. Being vegan isn't a disease... Celiac is! And lactose and gluten allergies are serious business.
I told the staff I have celiacs disease. To be fair, I am not celiac but I have severe gluten allergies. Usually when you tell the staff you have celiacs disease, they take you seriously. But these guys, they don't care...
I am now suffering severe pain from gluten being in my food... The food has made a serious impact on my gluten allergy and now I'm suffering hard... This is very unacceptable and I will be contacting the necessary food authorities to inform them that you have very unsafe work methods. It's lucky I'm NOT celiac because that's a very serious auto immune disease and your company needs to take this a lot more serious.
Everything I ordered was gluten free, including the sauces. Clearly I've been served food that was heavily cross contaminated. You need to train your staff about cross contamination, and the severity of celiacs disease. Pretty pathetic that I have to even tell you this, and that I need to deal with this on the first holiday I've had in over 15 years... Very sad indeed.
To top it all off, they were playing really bad pop "music" and it was as loud as a night club 🤦🏿 "look at me I'm so cool brahhhh..." Pathetic... Do you not care about people with ASD either?
The food is so flavourful and I loved how healthy it is! Not healthy meaning only the vegetable and meat but healthy as in they don't cook with inflammatory oils, instead they cook with butter, olive oil and I believe I think coconut oil as well. I got a gingerella and WOW tasted so addicting and it was balanced well with the hint of vanilla! I asked for a veggie stir fry with a salmon on top and the salmon was cooked just too well! Not too raw and not too overcooked it was easy to chew, soft and overall you could tell it was pure fresh right from the sea. You could tell the salmon lived a good life under the sea 🤣. I also got a cinnamon and apple cake and also a blueberry one and they are gluten free meaning they also dont use any of those bleached flours! The cakes WERE SO GOOD and rightfully filling! But right as I'm typing this I'm craving another one!!! My mum loved the apple and cinnamon one and its suprising because my mother usually doesn't like eating from outside! The workers were so kind, I came a bit late and they were closing but they were so generous to still serve me even when they were meant to be closing! You could tell they really care about feeding their customers wholesome gut-friendly food and care about when they are hungry aswell! The scenery was peaceful and quiet along with some tropical music but with no lyrics which I prefer that way! So much tropical plants and the store looked so alive that I felt right at home! Overall if your looking for a cafe that doesn't use any inflammatory oils, that really want to nurious their customers and they do not whatsoever use suger or bleached or chemical ingredients. They are the bestfriend to the gut health! I love eating here and my vacation is over so I will forever miss eating here!!!
I popped in here for breakfast one morning, because it was only one block from my hotel and the reviews were good. They have some really good value breakfast options. I have coeliac disease and when ordering a gluten-free option they ask you whether you're coeliac and inform the cook, which is excellent. My coffee didn't taste as strong as I'd like (small flat white with two shots), but it wasn't bad.
Caught up with one of my best mates who i hadn't seen in a year that lives interstate, He recently had to switch to gluten free meals so was very happy with the selection of products so he could have a good meal as well as myself.
The place was exactly what we needed, close to the beach, quiet, good food, and convenient. We were craving some vegetables and were able to have some fresh food, the soup was good, the calamari was quite delish! Great flavor and nicely crisp, would come back just for those. They also accommodate gluten free options, the waitress was great by making sure about it being gluten free which was really kind.

I love walking in there with the piece of mind knowing what is & isn’t gluten free as it is all marked clearly. Never had a bad experience with the staff, & bonus for everything being tasty! Will gladly return.
A lovely little cozy cafe!! Lovely staff! Really cool latte art! We got a bunny and a Pegasus! The food was also amazing and they were very accommodating to gluten free options! Pretty much the whole menu can be made gluten free with some moderations. 😊 the lady who served us was very sweet and helped us move tables bc there were 6 of us and overall lovely service

Amazing food! We had the lunch set menu and it was sooo good. I’m gluten free and had there were so many great options. I will definitely be back again very very soon!
Great range for gluten free cooked separately
Perfect pit stop before your flight touch over priced but that’s airport food. Taste makes you feel better about the purchase cheers
Truly a 5 star+ experience for Buffet Breakfast at Citrique yesterday morning. Have been a number of times before and it just gets better and better.
Food so fresh and tasty and beautifully displayed, and such variety. And service professional, warm and prompt.
Love the detail of the décor eg Gluten Free signage incorporated into fixture.
I had the pleasure of working for ITT Sheraton/Starwood/Marriott for the majority of my career, and I have had the privilege and enjoyment of experiencing many of the group’s hotels and brands over the years, and JW Marriott Gold Coast - and breakfast at Citrique - are definitely right up there amongst my faves.
I love this hotel (which was transformed in 2020/2021 from a Marriott to the Luxury brand JW Marriott) and look forward to returning again and again.
Super tasty burgers. However, you have to order fries separately. There would be a bit of a wait but there is a vibe here and it was really tasty! And there are gluten-free buns 😍
First time to Milk Lane. Food was fantastic. Definitely recommend trying this place for a feed. Cocktails were awesome too. They also do gluten free buns.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful experience dining at the restaurant at BMD Northcliffe surf club. We have a teenager who is Coeliac (Gluten free) the menu is fabulous so many choices for her, she felt very included which can be a rare experience for people with celiac disease. All our meals came out together and in good timing. The staff was very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Our meals were large, fresh, hot & delicious. We will definitely dine here again and again. Oh and the view is amazing! Thanks BMD Northcliffe 🙌🏻
This is such a relaxed cafe with amazing food and large portions and most important large variety of GLUTEN FREE options so great for a coeliac! also excellent value for money! meals are presented well and really leave you feeling satisfied. staff are polite and food is quick. Ate here twice over our 3 days stay as it was a must return visit the second time!
It claimed gluten free. I was watching the chef and noticed a bottle that looked like soy sauce. I asked the waitress is that gluten free soy sauce she checked and it was just soy sauce. I mentioned soy sauce has wheat which is gluten. Because careful those that have issues with gluten. They can't make those claims when they are using gluten. It can make someone with gluten issues very sick
We had an amazing experience! It was our first time, from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. Service was 10/10, all staff was super attentive, the food exceptional & the live music was so so great and overall the atmosphere was amazing. Even the gluten free option, the best burger I’ve ever had. We loved it!!!! Thank you. Highly recommend.

This place has great food and service. They were also terrific with our gluten free requirements. The chef’s are very entertaining too.
I was struck by the age and condition of the fit-out inside though. The floor coverings in particular are well past their use-by date, very discoloured and worn, and just need replacing. A pity this detracted from the experience.
A pleasant surprise. We actually had reservations at another Japanese restaurant, however that one left us disappoint as they were unable to honour our reservation. Stop forward Mr Kojima, they were able to get our party of four seated quickly and we opted for the Omakase menu, which is more akin to a 'feed me' set menu where they do the hard work of picking what to eat. $65pp, we weren't sure what to think, but there was. Huge amount of variety and definitely enough food to leave you content with a full belly. Some highlights included the Wagyu beef on a sizzling cast iron, the pork belly and the tuna tartare with crispy rice bites. The staff were super nice and knowledgeable, especially as one of our diners required gluten free food. Very happy that we stumbled upon this little gem and we will definitely be back when we visit the Gold Coast again!
I called them for a dinner order takeaway. The chef was so helpful in choosing some options. They have gluten free pasta and sauce and it was an amazing dish. He also helped with a vegetarian option for my friend. The food was amazing. The customer service was amazing. Definitely eat here.
It's a bit of a random vibe. There was a giant group in for a buffet when we came but they were alright. The service is decent and the food very nice. Staff knowledgeable about gluten free. Toilet is in a nearby hotel which is bizarre. Staff are good. Well priced. No alcohol (Halal venue).
Stumbled across Café Alfons and wow—what a gem! You know a place is doing something right when it’s buzzing at 9am on a Wednesday. The staff were friendly and super quick, checking in without hovering. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and hands down the best avo and feta combo I’ve ever had. My wife asked about a gluten-free option for one of the dishes—unfortunately it wasn’t possible, but the team handled it kindly and didn’t make us feel awkward at all.
We left very happy and already planning our next visit.
Only downside? We wish there was one closer to home!
I’ve never been so impressed with a restaurants high quality service and consideration in terms of people with dietary needs or allergies. I am vegan and gluten free and was taken into consideration by the chef himself who altered dishes to suit my needs and brought them to me himself and had the courtesy to explain them. Majority of restaurants are unable to provide this so coming here tonight made my night and was very much a memorable experience. A big thank you to the chef and staff🙏❤️
Great vibe, super friendly staff the standout being Tegan(apologies if I’ve misspelled your name)the gorgeous you g waitress who looked after me, nothing was too much trouble for her and she was very engaging.
The security guys at the door checking people in was also very friendly guy!
The menu has plenty of gluten free options and the food was great too!
I’ll definitely be heading back again.
Cheers and thanks

Dined here two nights in a row. Chef was very happy to accommodate my dietary requirements with coeliac disease. Customer service was outstanding! Our host for the evening 'Guy' made us all feel special and greeted us like friends when we returned on the second night. Our two international waitresses were just lovely. Food variety was great...steak was awesome and pizzas were sensational.
Lovely atmosphere, close to the train and pretty good food for a good price, they also cater to gluten free restrictions if needed 💗🍃✨ very nice that profits are donated although I’d love to know which charities they support 🫶🏼
Great venue the staff always so friendly we have been here for coffee in the morning and for drinks and dinner at night. Loads of gluten free options for my wife. It’s now one of our go to places to eat and drink when is surfers.
We're absolutely stoked with the gluten free churros!!!
All dished had good serving portions, flavorful meats and they definitely did not skimpy on the toppings!
Good food, good service and great atmosphere!
Paul from Arlo's Pizzeria has looked after many of my clients and most recently catered our daughter's 21st birthday ... and we couldn't have been happier with his service and food! He was exceptionally prompt, worked within our budget and went above and beyond to accommodate our guests, including those with coeliac disease, which we greatly appreciated.
The charcuterie board, salads, pasta and pizza he prepared were absolutely fantastic - every guest raved about the quality and flavour. Having Paul cater the event made the night so much more enjoyable and stress-free.
If you're planning a home function and want amazing food and professional service, Paul is your go-to. We'll definitely be booking him again for our next event.
