Coogee Wine Room - Restaurant & Bar

This place is fabulous. Cosy neighbourhood bistro with great food and wine. The service was exceptional .. we were very well look after especially as one of our party is coeliac and the staff were very careful to give alternative choices and took care separating any gluten containing food from her meal.

We arrived in Coogee from Canada to revisit a place we both remembered fondly from 30 years ago. We love wine and food so we chose to do a wine tasting evening at the coogee wine room! They did not disappoint. It was a cool evening on May 29 th and we arrived to a warm, cozy, well appointed restaurant and we were met by our host. We enjoyed a wine by the glass at the bar prior to the event. We were then lead upstairs to the event space that had both ambiance and comfort. The event featured wine from West Cape Howe Wines. The wine maker was knowledgeable, humble and entertaining. The food was on point with the wines and sensational. I must give a shout to their braised Wagyu Beef! I’m still thinking about it! I have celiac so my menu had to be adjusted and this was accomplished without any hassle or compromise to my experience. Our experience in Coogee Beach has been outstanding and the Coogee Wine Room was a stand out experience. Now having said this I will add the price was exceptionally reasonable and maybe too affordable! Who’s going to argue that! If you’re considering this as a wine and culinary experience then the decision is made! Enjoy your night!
