Cultiva Downtown

We went for breakfast this morning and had a wonderful experience. All of our questions were patiently answered and they didn’t rush us to order. Even though we ordered in one person was able to get their drink in a to go cup. The drinks were ready first and our number was called out with a microphone so it was very easy to hear. There is a table with utensils and condiments next to the cart for the dish return. Drip coffee was “really good”, the chai latte was “excellent”, hot Cubana had cute latte art and “the brown sugar and cinnamon complement their espresso very well”, and the iced Cuban had “super delicious salt cream”. The Johnny cake was better than expected! Great flavor and crunch. The bit of egg on the Lemon bomb crepe added “an extra layer of yum”. We were very pleased that the only bowl is gluten free and can be made vegan.

Best coffee, great food! Thanks to Cultiva I know what to expect for my daily brew. You will not be able to tolerate “commercial” coffee once you’ve enjoyed what is available here. And that’s a good thing! No more over roasted, chemical crud. Coffee here is so good you don’t need sugar or cream or whatever other stuff you add in. Cannot stress the quality enough. Also a great resource for folks who appreciate a good cup. Had a chance to take a class a few years ago and learned how to make a good pour over and effectively use an aeropress. The food here is unparalleled for breakfast in Lincoln. The Grinch was my staple for years. My dietary needs have changed and they offer gluten free and vegan options that are insanely good! Everyone can find something on this menu that fits their needs and wants. Only con is that the kitchen is small so you should expect a wait on weekends during busy hours. They are very up front about it and warn folks, so to me it’s a non issue. You can enjoy fun tunes and good neighborhood company while you get your top notch food. Staff here is AMAZING, friendly and efficient. Facility is clean and engaging. Parking has never been an issue for me and a bike rack is out front. No patio or outdoor furniture anymore. Acoustics are so so - it can be loud during peak hours.
